Audi's new design direction is cleaner and sexier by far than the new 3. (although all the models look a bit too similar) I do find myself checking them out when I see them on the road. Its been a long time since the 3 series caught my eye specifically since the over stated yet boring E90 (That I never find myself checking out) They really should turn the style direction futuristic or retro, The E46 was (and still is) eye catching. Simple yet refined and sporty.

Please hire me as your next designer. Currently, your lineup has no solid unifying design theme. You've betrayed almost half a century (1955-1995) of brilliant, steady, cautious design to create cars with zero soul and zero presence. The L-shaped taillights are beyond cliche now. Every Honda, Kia, and Hyundai has them. Stop designing cars for trashy Americans and start designing them for Germans again. That was always what you did, and the world envied BMW.

I think BMW is giving you less car for a higher price tag. The engine is down, the body panels are more simply molded with straighter cuts, pretty much everything is optional, and the base price is up. Its a shame the old 3 series was stunning in every aspect.

I drove the 328i sport in a comparison test with the Merc C350 and Audi A4 in Portugal last week....what a car! Merc not bad but wallows a bit on sharp turn in and brakes are rubbish, Audi has such bad understeer I'd rather get the bus! Drive it and see for yourself all you doubters!!!!
@workscooperisme No one is doubting that any BMW is a good handling car, they always have been. They spend all that time finding ways to balance the cars weight front to rear until they reach a perfect 50/50 split.. or at least very close to it. Your telling people something they already know, but what everyone is saying here is that the car is ugly.. simple as that. It looks way to much like other BMW's, making all models look the same and losing its identity.. and its just not good looking.
I'm not entirely sure about the design however the performance will still be amazing. Comfortable but taut so it stays fun. I do like the C Class MB but I just love the I6 motor in a BMW, gem of an engine.

YOU might think that its the best looking 3 series yet, but judging by the fact that Audi and M-Benz have seen up to 30% increases in overall sales since the beginning of 2011, and BMW hasn't seen anything close to that, i think its safe to say most people aren't fans of the new BMW's. And i dont need to watch any c-class vids to know it outsells the 3 series.

@workscooperisme I couldn't possibly care any less how many out of X amount of cars sold were BMW's. Being that BMW, Audi, MB and Lexus are all so close in year to year sales, then if i wanted Audi to look good, i could say the same thing.. "So why was 1 in every 12 cars sold last year an Audi?".. That holds no value. Speak only if you have something smart to say child.

Still ugly... it looks just the same as the old one! The Mercedes-Benz W203 C-Class is way nicer and is sporty too! The avantgarde version of the Mercedes-Benz W203 C-Class is the best and very nice, the V8 6.3l monster is very fuel efficient also, unlike the ''bmw'' !!!

Looks pretty good, but I am afraid that bmw's are following Audi a lot more, by making their cars look almost exactly the same, but sized differently. Also, why different lines? Keep to the BMW simplicity, 328i, 320i, 335i, and 318i please.

I loved my 328i but the 128i is so much more fun to drive. I think that I'm gonna go 335i coupe year after next to give people in the backseat a little more leg room.

I used to dislike quite a bit the Bangle era....I was never fond of BMW then...( Being a Mercedes fan ) but now i see that they are revising the whole lot...which are all quite impressive....now i am both Mercedes and BMW admirer...wouldn't know which to buy if i had the money though...maybe i would stick to Mercedes because BMW still haven't found that ''thing'' they lost after 2000...that made them special....Mercedes still have it as they always have...that prime feel of ''Mercedesness''

BMW 3 series are nice cars but the "image" thing is horrible. Whenever I see someone driving in a BMW, I automatically assume that person is a cock, douche bag and/or asshole.
