I'm inclined to agree - Order of the Illuminati fucking slays, it's just so much more refined and ambitious than anything they did in the 80s. The Cyriis-era albums are amazing, yeah, but they don't have anything quite as masterful as Ten Fists of Nations or Human Bullet.

This track is superb, too. I really hope they can get past their problems with Cyriis and keep making music - I'll certainly buy a new album if they make one.

Omega Conspiracy is a good album, if a bit single-minded (lots of straight-ahead thrashers).

Order of the Illuminati is a more refined, slightly progressive affair with some classic USPM influences that blend really well with elements of the classic AS sound. One of my favorites of theirs.

Alienigma is sort of bland groove metal with a few flashes of brilliance, mainly in the lead guitar work. Bruce Hall sounds awful on that album, I usually avoid it.

@thestore2010 They played a full show with Cyriis on vocals in Sweden just a a week ago! So maybe there's hope after all. :) The band was really good and Cyriis sounded in good shape. There are videos of the performance up, search for "agent steel sweden rock".

@thestore2010 It's called "Omega Conspiracy", IMO a terrific album and the only "new" one that (almost) measures up against the untouchable 80's records. That being said, "Order of the Illuminati" is also a very good album in its own right.

This song is really promising (destroys "Alienigma") and I hope for a new album. Hopefully they can work it out with Cyriis and make one for the ages together, but if not then more power to 'em anyway.

Yes, they've evolved from their 80s sound, but I'd hardly call their post-reunion material generic.
