The main giveaway of the fakes besides not coming with supertips or super tip carrier is the L SHAPED STEREO ADAPTER PLUG!

The L shaped metal part of the connector on the fakes is LONGER than the genuine. The genuine Miles Davis at one time came in the older boxes but they ALWAYS have had the same size L shaped connector and came with the supertips and carrier.

The video link above shows a fake pair compared to the genuine. He even has the old style Miles Davis tribute box that the fakes copied, but notice his genuine pair came with the real supertips and carrier plus is L shaped adapter is the correct length. The fakes ALWAYS have a longer metal plug. That is one of the easiest ways to spot the fakes including the turbine pro fakes.
