  • Thats why Entwhistle is the greatest bass guitarist there will ever be!

  • I remember taping the Swansea concert on my cassette player off Nicky Horne's (London) Capital Radio 9 pm show.

Being a teenager I taped it on to a C120 instead of a C60 or 90. Of course the C120s stretched and snapped and I lost this gem many years ago.

BTW, I still have a C120 cassette tape of a voice recording I made of me reading the Swansea to Cardiff railway timetable, June 1975 to May 1976 if anyone wants to hear it.

  • @eduardoisland ..Laughing to myself at the memorie's i also have of taping the Swansea show from the radio!....It was a great summer to be a Who fan, "Tommy" still showing at the pictures, Posters everywhere for "The Who By Numbers"..Great days

  • @tootstanner: Dreamin' from the waist on down, Squeeze Box and Pictures of Lily. All songs written by Townshend about masturbation.

  • No question. Mr. Entwistle knew how to play bass like nobody else,

  • what a song!!! john entwistle at his best and fuck me what a line up for any gig!!!

  • Why the hell was there never any footage for this gig? or the "79" at Wembley stadium?

  • This was my first ever concert, and one of many times i saw the Who though sadly minus "moonie"

This concert was a real eyeopener for me as i was a 13yr nipper! the whole day was marred by mindless violence, heavy rain, but The Who were the reason i stood there for hours getting soaked!! pricless!!! thank you!!
