LOL! interesting, if you notice on the mini map the Tram is shown running North- South, where as it normally runs east - west. this is due to the fact that back in the original wow beta the tram ran from IF to darnassus. it looks like they have rotated the map but forgot to do the trams :)
no if you look at him at the start he is facing north-south and the deeprun enterance is on his right on the minimap. In current WoW the deeprun entrance would have been at the top of the minimap. yes his minimap is rotating but it does show that the tram lines are now running north-south but the trams them selves havent been fully fixed yet. So sorry but you are incorrect.

Actually, his mini-map is just rotating as he does. When he faces north it goes left to right, east to west, so it's still the same.
