I dont mean crazy in that sense, I meant it in a sense of believing his ordered hits were right, and that what he was doing was right. He was a genius, pure genius, but evil, yet peaceful, on many different levels. Its a shame that he had to do this, he was very very talented.
Manson also did commit murders, he just never got tried for them. He shot a black panther in the head during a bad pot deal, and many of his followers that tried to leave the family were murdered and burried on the ranch.

That's not a lie. It is very well documented. Every one of the members who were interviewed all confirmed the same story. That is why he was stealing dune buggy's and planned to mount machine guns on them, and that is why they were constantly looking for the hole in the desert where they could hide. No, he was a genuine friend of manson who cared about him and continues to do so, and you can see from footage that the feeling is mutual, manson respects and cares for him too. He got unprecedented access and frankness from manson, and there is nothing wrong with writing a book about that. It is in fact a service to the community to help us better understand manson's psychosis.

I've read all the major books on it, seen every second of video footage on it, and read every word on the net that I can find about it. My conclusions are logically sound, morally healthy, and philosophically pure. When a person reduces thier argument simply to "you're wrong" it's kind of life an admission of defeat. Such is life. The book is a pretty interesting read...somewhere beween that "Helter Skelter" book and Manson's Autobiography lies the real truth...we may never know what really happened... We do know that the people who carried out the murders, plea-bargained their asses out of stiffer prison sentences by declaring Manson the Mastermind of the murders.
