The Cadillac xts looks nice, but who is it competing against not the 5series or Audi a6 cause it's too big, so it must be the Lincoln mks why? And put a twin Turbo in the xts please GM
beautiful...let's hope they can make it with window regulators that don't break (all four on my 55K 2005 DTS with only 45,000 miles on it...dealer wants $400. each when they break). Also numerous front end vibration problems and engine coolant issues...my '66 Fleetwood is more enjoyable.
I hope this new is more than a Buick Lacrosse with a new dress and lots of lipstick. My neighbors MKS he found out is a Taurus with a nice dress and lots of lipstick. I think the XTS is a fill in until 2015 or 2016 when they come out with a rear wheel drive.
In the meantime if you want a replacement for your old DTS take a look at a Hyundai Genesis. Rear wheel drive and a choice of a V6 or V8 and an 8 speed automatic.

I have owned the entire line of CTS including the CTS Coupe , the SRX as well and what is really lacking is CLASS and rear leg room!!!! I also own a Lexus L460L and to be very honest Cadillac doen't compare. Cadillac cars has a lot of road noise . the exterior design is great but its whats inside that counts as well as performance. Glad that the GPS is coming with a larger screen as well as more technology. The only thing that brings me back to Cadillac is the onstar and employee plan.
Polished steel instead of a super chrome grill??!!! yes!!!! finally Cadillac is learning about what luxury and class really is all about! "not chrome" .. illuminated door handles! that's a game changer, now every other luxury company in the world is going to copy this. Matte metallic paint color, yes! Mercedes and BMW are already making their premium paint matte metallic, just look at the new BMW 6 series grand coupe and Merc CLS. Its a new era of matte metallic luxury! CUE is awesome too!!

If the powers that be inside of GM really want this car to compete with the likes of Audi, BMW, Jaguar and Mercedes, then the wheelbase should be lengthened to a class competing 120".

@TheDiscrazy same here bro. when i saw my first cadillac it was after a funeral, i was waiting for my dad to get in the car and go home, and i looked beside us and there was this beautiful cadillac, jet black, when the guy turned it on, those beautiful headlights turned on and it was love at first sight. ha
I'm gonna be brutally honest here: those back seats look too flat unless they plan of making those seats fold down to extend the trunk space. The ride looks too tall to me but if you dig it, cool. When silhouetted, the front end looks a bit like the Chrysler 300C. And the grill could be one piece, which would recall the waterfall grill of the 1935 V16 Aero coupe.
