WTF? I have KC Munch/Odyssey 2, & I never realized it had a map maker! It's gotta be 1 of the 1st game editors ever made eh? I don't want to dig out my O2 (all my vintage systems are packed away & I use emulators). I wonder if the map maker is on the emulated version? What do you press to access the editor?

in the uk the philips videopac + g7400 was the sequal to videopac g7000 (in usa odyssey2) and was going to be an odyssey 3 but they decided never to make it. it was planned to be a 4 bit console.

You know, considering how other pac man clones, and even a freaking unlicensed game that acts like it is legit (pac man jr) stay around, its a freaking shame this game stayed around.

Course its a shame about how many games nowadays are god-aweful ripoffs of better games, but lets no get into that.

I'd say this game easily beets Junior, and probably even the original Pacman.

Don't get me wrong Pacman is a classic, Junior doesn't really hold that much merit though its not quite as bad as alot of the other later Pacman titles, Pacman and Mrs are probably the only two in the series that really compete with this.

Clean Sweep is great too! ^^

There was a Odyssey3. But it was never released in the states. And was only found in Europe. And it went under the name: Philips Videopac + G7400. Magnavox had planed to being the console to the Uniter States. The Odyssey3 was however demoed at the 1983 Consumer Electronics Show. But they deemed it not powerful enough. And the video game Crash of 83' ended any remaining chances of release. A few Prototypes of the Odyssey3 exist. The full name for the O3 would have been: Odyssey³ Command Center

They release a game, put a big "Whith real 1080p HD Video Output" on the Packshot and then you just get graphics like this. Wouldn't that be great?

No but seriously. I think this is a pretty damn fun looking game for it's time and the map maker really was ahead of it's time. A rerelease of this for Xbox Live Arcade with just a bit better graphics(still has to be simple, though) and some bigger mazes for 400 MS Points would be great.

high def output for pixalated games . . . lol. I guess a new processing system, a new graphics card, new controller system, and maybe nicer game things (CD's, flatter squares like floppy disks, etc.) would not hurt too much either.

I wish they made inventive games now a days. Now, an average game Is a marine in space shooting aliens with an overpowered weapon. Back then, a game could have the protaginist be a hobo with a beard made of cheese, that has a flower that shoots out frogs that have rabies, and his goal is to eat as many popsiciles, all of this while trying to support his dying brother in the hospital.

Pac Man came out in the arcades in 1980, KC Munchkin for the home console in '81, and Pac Man on Atari in 1982. So Pac Man was actually first. -CGRHD

No, it came out in 1981, about a year after Pac-Man came out in the arcades. K.C. Munchkin did come out on the Odyssey 2 before Pac-Man made it to a home console, which was in 1982 and on the Atari 2600. And that Atari home version of it is horrendous. Rather play K.C. Munchkin.
