Just when I thought I couldn't respect the president anymore, I find this... What an absolute beast. It's quite funny that there are people who have been so warped, that they see someone making such an incredibly reasoned and well thought out point as an attack on a nation's heritage.
It's people, such as the individual that created this video, that are responsible for retarding American culture and inhibiting the United States from fulfilling its true potential.
what ever your spiritual or religious values are keep them your own. He was demonstrating a fact about the differences between rationalism and spiritualism. Remember: "Render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar and what belongs to God..."
so america is christian jaja we go to other countries and kill viet and arabs ...i didnt noe the bibble said kill your enemies... i thought it said love your enemies...stupid rednecks...the kkk think they are also christians...jajajajaja fools
There's also black racist groups, and mexican racist groups. And muslim racist groups. And scottish racist groups- who'll kill you for being a protestant, if I remember right! But, only the white racist groups should be mentioned?
what christian heritage?, most of our founding fathers were deists, or secularists, they hated religion and christianity because they were escaping religous persecution in England, im not Obama's biggest fan or anything, but he is spot on in this video
I actually believe in God, but I have no problem with what Obama is saying here. The idea that our president would be consulting a book from thousands of years ago and written by several, unknown authors, that's the ludicrous thing. I wonder how American Jews feel about the Republican concept that this is a "Christian" nation. Separation of church and state, and religious freedom, those were the concepts of our forefathers, not basing policy on the Bible.
Obama was bang-on with this speech. America is not a Christian nation. It is, instead, a nation partially inhabited by Christians. The notion that members of a particular religion should get preferential treatment or recognition over all other is antithetical to the First Amendment.
If Christians actually read their bible, they would see how full shit it is. For instance, how about Lot offering his daughters up for sex or these daughters getting their father drunk and sleeping with him? How about Jepthah killing his daughter for a making a promise to God? I'm glad Obama said this because it shows the man actually sees the bullshit in religion.
Exactly, America was not founded as a Christian nation you dumb cocksucker. Take this video down you cunt.....you are making an issue out of something that is not even an issue.
America is not a Christian nation nor was it ever. America is a secular democratic republic. The first amendment states:
'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibit the free-exercise thereof.'
The Treaty of Tripoli explicitly states that America is not a Christian nation (Article 11) . This treaty was submitted by founding father and former American president John Adams in 1797.
Not only is religion a joke - it clearly is - but legally speaking, Obama is obviously correct. Read up on the Establishment Clause and SCOTUS jurisprudence. By the way, he's not mocking religion; he's making an obvious point that we cannot base modern policy decisions on the Iron Age scribblings of politically motivated desert shepherds. If you have a problem with that, you are beyond help.
@alstar999, You shoud listen more carefully. In this video and others on Christianity he criticizes Christianity and Jesus Sermon on the Mount, a plan for mankind. Yet, every time he speaks about Islam he has nothing but glowing praise. Muhammad said: "Even if we have to destroy whole civilizations, we will do it for Islam to prevail in the world." How come Obama does not speak about Islam's faults? How come he does not speak the truth about Islam? If you are not worried, you should be. Peace.
@alstar999, As Obama stated "America is one of the largest Muslim nations in the world," and almost in the same breath, "America is not a Christian nation, but has Christians living in it." So your pet theory above is nothing but junk science. The only way I could respect Obama is if he proved that he is eligble to be President and that he shows is a good Christian man, and not the closet Muslim he acts like. Whether you or anyone else like it or not America is a Christian nation.
@TheLiberty53 yea so we should concentrate on the man's religion rather then his ability to contribute to the prosperity of this nation? If you wanna live in a country that falls behind because people pick their leaders based on their religious views (like the majority of the senators) then i feel bad that you are so close minded. If this country is to ever be on top again, the citizens in it need to do less praying and more working...
@alstar999 Obama should be saying stoning your wife as they do in the Islamic world if she gets out of line should be banned, which means Shariah Law. However, Obama stated to a audience in Cairo, Egypt he fought for the rights of Muslim women to wear the hijab. He calls himself a Christian. When will he act like one?
But lying to the people, stringing us along, taxing the rich into debt, while not taxing/giving themselves, screaming about LoLbalwarming while not adhering to their own petty standards, digging us deeper into debt while all the while people mindlessly sling mud to try and keep attention off Obama, is better than believing in God?
So it's not good to hate on a black man, for being black, but it's ok to tell me to my face, "My religion is a joke because I want to believe there is a chance for something better when I die? Who's hurt? No one. If I'm right, I might get eternal paradise. If I'm wrong, I turn into cosmic dust.
Isn't America supposed to be about RESPECT and TOLERANCE for it's LEGAL CITIZENS?
RIGHT ON OBAMA TELL THOSE CHRISTIANS TAKE THERE PUNKAZZ BACK TO EUROPE THATS WHY ALL GOVT WHERE A FEZ ...THAT JESUS PARADIGM IS GONE THE AGE OF THE BELIVER IS FADING FAST THE PICEAN AGE AS WE MOVE INTO THE AGE OF AQUARIUS THE KNOWER THE JESUS STORY COMES FROM THETEMPL OF LUXOR PLAGERIZERSSSSS
I'm a Biblical Literalist, which is why I've sold all my possessions, and distributed all of my money to the poor (I'm on a public computer). As you know, this is what Jesus said was needed to have eternal life. If you own any property, you are not a follower of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 19:17-26) I've also renounced war and become a pacifist, since, as you know, Jesus allowed himself to be crucified rather than resist violence, and this is what it means to take up the cross. (Matthew 5:38-48)
@corneliusvanDB "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." According to the Christian teaching, there was only one without sin. And he didn't cast stones. He cast a net of forgiveness. He was a fisher of men, not a slanderer. I pray that you discover the true Gospel of Christ. God's love to you.
The part I see as most rediculous is that more so than "America's" (really- the United States) heritage being Christian, "America's" heritage is people being free to to follow any religion they so choose, and being that is the case, our laws shouldn't be determined by scripture of one religion. Now, the settlers forcing that religion on the people already living here, the Native Americans, is a whole different story.
"Obama mocks America's Christian heritage" is an inflammatory title, not rightly given to what was seen above. "Obama points out that public policy and religion not easy bedfellows" is more accurate.
Unless of course the makers of this video do want to see Deuteronomy and Leviticus in American politics. In which case they are idiots. The bible should never be taken literally - that is the point being made here :)
glad he said it, rednecks are fake christians who hide behind it and hate. this country should not be an extremist christian state. we are a melting pot.
What he meant about the Sermon on the Mount/DoD thing was how Jesus' teachings would not find any truly open ears and hearts within the DoD, which is dedicated towards funneling billions into the American war machine.
And seriously people, he was using logic against Leviticus and Deuteronomy. Those books were applicable to an earlier time, but are much out of date in our present society.
"America's Christian Heritage 1" Watch David Barton talk about this topic, maybe the ppl forcing this marxism on the US will understand how serious this is. Our Gov is out of control & they do not represent the good ppl of these United States...
Get that folks? PUBLIC HAPPINESS! This man has done nothing but anger the Public! So he will get what he deserves! ~Removed from power~ So sorry mr prez' you don't get to be king of the world! :p the last laugh will be by the teaparty ppl you so grossly mislabled as traitors~
"He is the Minister of God to thee for good. This is the great object, to which they are to direct all their views. "As men, they have, like other men, private interests and private views & may as lawfully pursue them. But in their public capacity, they can of right, have no other end, than that of the public happiness."
In every free gov, founded on social compact, it is the indisputable rt of the community, to elect their own rulers. The path of their duty is clearly pointed out, as with a sun beam. The constitution defines their pwr, & Heaven has declared the end of their appointment. cont...
cont... So in the civil body, a people may boast the wisest frame of government; a constitution, in which every provision is made, equally to secure the rights of government, and the liberty of the subject; and yet after all, their hopes may be blasted, and all their agreeable prospects, end in disappointment, from no other cause than a corrupt administration.
It is well known, that, in the natural body, the best original habit- the finest constitution, will not ensure health, where a person, either carelessly neglects the means of preserving it, or wantonly indulges to intemperance, and every criminal excess. So in the civil body, a people may boast the wisest frame of government
There, Franklin said, "I have lived, sir, a long time; and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, That God governs in the affairs of men! And if the sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?"
Regarding Franklin's "deism," he wrote that Franklin himself told Congress he believed "the Creator was very much involved and engaged in the affairs of men ... . He echoed his belief as he appealed to the Constitutional Convention to remember the place the Lord had in the inception of America."
That criminal selfishness, which is so opposed to the good of society, & is the bane of public happiness, if permitted a free operation, unbridled by laws, would make this earth, instead of a "quiet habitation, a scene of outrage and misery The beneficent & wise Parent of the Universe, who is a "God of order, hath ther4, in his "good will to men, & that there might be "peace on earth, granted, with. the Gospel, the great blessing of civil gov which is ther4 expressly called the ordinance of God.
"In this powerful sermon on Christian patriotism, the Rev. Mellish Motte challenges his congregation regarding the need for personal righteousness, particularly in the political arena, so that the whole nation may benefit."
In one of his most powerful speeches, President Lincoln invokes God and Scripture in marking the nation's triumph over slavery and laying the groundwork for peace.
@satibablaze Your mind control comes from your Gov & your idiot box~ Which they control... God is the only answer!
Words etched into the Jefferson Memorial convey powerful truths: "God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever..."
@mantisfistvideos Our founding fathers were Christians, & our Laws are of God, our Nation was & still is a Godly Nation. Our Heritage has been stolen & or removed since 1913. America has to relearn her Hx! If she dose not do this than we are doomed. David Barton has collected all our Heritage that was stolen & he has origional content/documents to back up his facts. Read Setting the record streight : American Hx in Black & White, Origional Intent, Our Godly Nation, Youtube him for the truth...
@Naketaa Wrong!!!!!!!! Not all of our founding fathers were not Christians. Most of our founding fathers held to deism and Freemasonry. The constitution is totally secular. The omission of God in the Constitution did not come out of forgetfulness, but rather out of the Founding Fathers purposeful intentions to keep government separate from religion. Thomas Jefferson made an interpretation of the 1st Amendment calling it a "wall of separation between church and State."
@trump34 From the beginning of the struggle to secure America’s independence, our leaders encouraged patriots to keep religious faith central in their thinking and actions. For example, signer Samuel Adams urged:
May every citizen in the army and in the country have a proper sense of the Deity upon his mind and an impression of the declaration recorded in the Bible, “Him that honoreth Me, I will honor; but he that despiseth Me shall be lightly esteemed.”
@trump34 Signer John Witherspoon similarly advised:
Let therefore everyone who… offers himself as a champion in his country’s cause be persuaded to reverence the name and walk in the fear of the Prince of the kings of the Earth; and then he may with the most unshaken firmness expect the issue [God’s protection] either in victory or death.
@trump34 General George Washington likewise told his troops:
The blessing and protection of Heaven are at all times necessary but especially so in times of public distress and danger. The General hopes and trusts that every officer and man will endeavor so to live and act as becomes a Christian soldier defending the dearest rights and liberties of his country.
While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.
@trump34 In the early stages of the Revolution, the patriots lost battle after battle, but their strong faith in God would not let them despair—a point clearly illustrated by a conversation between signers Benjamin Rush and John Adams. As Rush later recounted:
@Naketaa Upon my return from the army to Baltimore in the winter of 1777, I sat next to John Adams in Congress, and upon my whispering to him and asking him if he thought we should succeed in our struggle with G. Britain, he answered me, “Yes — if we fear God and repent of our sins.”
@trump34 With the signers’ unwavering faith in God and their “firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence,” they finally saw the tide begin to turn. The change of fortune was so obvious that General Washington told General Thomas Nelson:
The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations [to God].
@trump34 For the early patriots, God and Country, although two distinct entities, were inseparably joined in a mutually beneficial relationship. Perhaps Abigail Adams stated the premise most concisely when she declared:
[A] true patriot must be a religious man… [H]e who neglects his duty to his Maker may well be expected to be deficient and insincere in his duty towards the public.
@trump34 Signer John Witherspoon agreed, reminding a group of patriots:
[H]e is the best friend to American liberty who is most sincere and active in promoting true and undefiled religion and who sets himself with the greatest firmness to bear down profanity and immorality of every kind. Whoever is an avowed enemy of God, I scruple not [do not hesitate] to call him an enemy to his country.
@Naketaa God grant that in America true religion and civil liberty may be inseparable and that the unjust attempts to destroy the one may in the issue tend to the support and establishment of both.
@Naketaa Its great that you did some research. I encourage that. But what does any of this stuff that you have copy and pasted from the internet have to do with our founding fathers being Christians? These founding fathers I speak of are the ones who wrote the constitution which protects yours and my religious freedom and choice. Not just Christians. The name Jesus and the word Christian was let out of the constitution on purpose. Not even ONE of the things you quoted mention "Jesus." NONE!!!!!!
@trump34 "For the Founders, God and government were intricately linked. Even Thomas Paine, perhaps the most religiously exempt among the founders, echoed 'Spiritual freedom is the root of political freedom ... . As the union between spiritual freedom and political liberty seems nearly inseparable, it is our duty to defend both,'" DuBord quoted
? Not even ONE of the things you quoted mention "Jesus." NONE!!!!!!
How sad... You will never get it~ I will leave you to your ignorance.
@Naketaa Will never get what?Where is Jesus mentioned? That's all I'm asking. But it's just like a Jesus freak to avoid answering any logical question.I'm not saying they weren't spiritual men.Maybe they were. But YOU said Christian.God is a very general term used in many religions not only Christianity.Could these statements have been purposely general because America is made up of an eclectic group of religions? But then again, I don't expect for you to be able to think that far.
@Naketaa If you would take the time to actually READ the bible you will find no fault in what the President is saying. Its all in black and white. So what's your problem?I thought a Christian was supposed to be Christlike. You call me sad and ignorant just because I don't agree with you.Its sad and ignorant on your part that you can't have an intelligent debate without resorting to judging and name calling. The historic Jesus would never do that. But its typical of your kind.
@Naketaa One more thing. You quoted Thomas Paine as saying "Spiritual freedom......" That must mean something different in your world. And he says we have to "defend......spiritual freedom." To me, spiritual freedom does not equal everyone must believe in the principals of Christianity. Thanks for posting. You proved me right.
@trump34 When you read Lives Of The Signers, then read Wives Of The Signers~ You will see all they sacrificed for our country. I will pray for you to recieve the wisdom you need to find the truth, because there in 'lies" the problem. Your Heritage was stolen, & now like every American you must relearn your countries true History. Unless you do this you will never understand the big picture! You were taught lies, & now you must find the truth out for yourself~ fyi Those bks use to be old sch bks~
@Naketaa ps: America is under a two party coup~ You might want to check that out to while your searching for the answers that the Progressives systematicly removed from our schools & colleges. In one decade they errassed our Heritage from the minds of that generation. To bad you can not grasp the devistation of that knowlege. We need all hands on deck to repair the dmg done by the usurpers in power now, & including the Bush Admin. They carry the same titles "Progressives"
@Naketaa I think it's great that you do research. You still haven't answered my question. Answer my question and stop dodging it. What quote that you have stated speaks of Christianity? Don't pray for me. Don't waste your time. Pray for world hunger to end and see if it stops at anytime within your life time. I'll bet you my whole life savings it won't. And why...........God has a special plan for THOSE people. Yeah, RIGHT!!!! Religion is about mind control and always has been. U R stupid.
@trump34 It is frequently asserted by those seeking to minimize Christianity's central role in our nation's founding and history, that the founders themselves were not practicing Christians, but rather were Deists or Agnostics.
@Naketaa No matter how hard you try you can not change America's hx, not even King Obama can transform our Countries Heritage. I'm sure he has begun to doubt his own abilities to sway the American ppl on anything atm. He's to busy putting our fires to give it much attention lol :p Obama =Usurper & FAIL... Ron Paul 2012 = our President! HOORAH! :p
@trump34 The general principles of which the founding fathers achieved independence were the... general principles of christianity.
That is as clear as you can possibly say it~ our founding fathers were not deist who rejected the divinity of Jesus as you would have others believe. Because most of the founding fathers were christian~ I would wager you only know a few of the founding fathers names... Jefferson & Franklin. Doh! Wonder how i knew that?
@trump34 Pres Harry Truman wrote to Pope Pius XII in 1947 that "This is a Christian nation."he certainly did not mean that the United States has an official or legally-preferred religion or church. Nor did he mean to slight adherents of non-Christian religions. But he certainly did mean to recognize that this nation, its institutions and laws, was founded on Biblical principles basic to Christianity and to Judaism from which it flowed.
@Naketaa You keep quoting all of these people who were not the founding fathers. When I speak of founding fathers, I speak of the the ones that signed the constitution not just any historical political figure. Who cares what Truman sent to the Pope. He should have sent him a letter to tell priests to stop molesting little boys.
@trump34 "The fundamental basis of this nation's laws was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings we get from Exodus and Saint Matthew, from Isaiah and Saint Paul. I don't think we emphasize that enough these days. If we don't have a proper fundamental moral background, we will finally end up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the State."
@Naketaa Let's say I agree with you, which I don't. Do you think this country can have no morality if we don't adhere to Christianity? What about the good principals of other religions.
@trump34 Woodrow Wilson, in his election campaign for President, made the same point: "A nation which does not remember what it was yesterday, does not know what it is today, nor what it is trying to do. We are trying to do a futile thing if we do not know where we came from or what we have been about.. America was born a Christian nation. America was born to exemplify that devotion to the tenets of righteousness which are derived from the revelations of Holy Scripture."
@trump34 PS: Can you explain the 2000 Prophecy's 'as in Biblical prophecy's' that have come to pass? And why do you not address the damning statements i have made about your heritage being stolen by the Progressive Elites? Or why have you not commented about the two party coup being perpetrated by the Progressives in power now 'as well as' the last admin of RINOS. Having you believe there is no God would be very beneficial to their tyrannical plan of transforming America~ :p
@Naketaa No i can't explain because I think logically and don't believe in fairy tales. And as for the rest of this babble, everyday folks have been getting screwed by the government for centuries. What makes it so different now that everyone is in such an uproar? Oh yeah, the prez is black. Not that I think he doesn't have the country's best interest at heart. By the way, did you feel this much rage when Bush was prez? I hope so.
@trump34 I knew sooner or later you would throw the race card out there. What makes the dif now is Obama's/George Soros marxist/commie wanna be agenda... When they erased our hx it was so the ppl would not remember our last encounter with the Communist trying force their beliefs of Devine Manifestation on America. It did not fly then nor will it now. This President could be pink or purple, his color does not matter one whit! Its his Policies period the end. He is Anti~America
@trump34 ps yes i did feel rage @ Bush... He is a Progressive, just like MCcain, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Maxine Waters, Weiner, Rangle, ect ect ect.. They are Americas cancer~ America will right this wrong, sit back & watch. If you hadn't noticed America is no longer verbalizing her anger... She is taking our Gov back out of the hands of this usurper in chief~ Btw did you notice the iran pres had a mting with the blk panthers while he was here? How can you be soooo blind?
@Naketaa lol iran president? u do know why Iran is currently in the situation is right? we overthrew their democratically elected government and installed the shah(dictator), then the resulting anger (ppl were pissed we took out their democratic government) left room for the ayatollahs(ppl in power today) to come in and take power, the current regime in Iran is a result of US foreign policy
Respond to this video...The U.S. Constitution is a wholly secular document. It contains no mention of Christianity or Jesus Christ. In fact, the Constitution refers to religion only twice in the First Amendment, which bars laws "respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," and in Article VI, which prohibits "religious tests" for public office. Both of these provisions are evidence that the country was not founded as officially Christian.
@trump34 If presidential candidates do not clearly understand that God is the source of liberty, they will not protect those liberties from intrusive bureaucracy. As Jefferson so succinctly stated, "Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that their liberties are a gift of God?"
@trump34 On this Constitution Day, we have a unique opportunity at the Values Voter Debate to assess the moral qualifications of those who aspire to the office of pres of the US. Washington, Adams, Jefferson & Madison understood the relationship between God, our Constitution... cont
@trump34 cont.~ & our continued liberty, without which no president could fulfill his oath to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Any president who follows in their footsteps should follow their example as well.
@trump34 Some who mistakenly consider our Constitution to be a "secular" document with no relationship to God will no doubt question the relevance of asking candidates about moral issues. But our Founding Fathers would have considered it strange if we did not insist that our leaders clarify their views on issues such as abortion, homosexuality, and the intimate relationship between God and our federal Constitution. Is America a Christian Nation? The answer is both yes & no.
@trump34 "The real object of the First Amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance Mohammedanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sects and to prevent any national ecclesiastical patronage of the national government".
@Naketaa Then why not include the name Jesus? All Christians believe in Jesus. You are brainwashed and have a lot of time on your hands. Your solution is SEX.If you were getting some you wouldn't have time for memorizing all of this crap.Go out and get some even if you have to pay.Pay extra so they can tell you what beast you are in bed.Life is meant to be enjoyed. You sound like you don't have any fun.You are too busy judging everyone who is different from you.Have fun.
@trump34 Justice Story wrote for a unanimous Supreme Court in 1844 ( Vidal v Girard's Executors): "It is also said, and truly that the Christian religion is a part of the common law... ."
@trump34 In 1854, The United States House of Congress passed a resolution: "The great vital and conservative element in our system is the belief of our people in the pure doctrines and divine truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ."
@trump34 During the Civil War, The Senate passed a resolution in 1863 devoutly recognizing the supreme authority & just government of Almighty God encouraged to seek Him for succor according to His appointed way, through Jesus Christ, the Senate does hereby request the President to set aside a day for national prayer & humiliation." President Lincoln promptly issued a Proclamation Appointing a National Fast Day, stating in compliance with the request & fully concurring in the view of the Senate.
@trump34 The crucial role of Christianity in this nation's formation is not without dispute, although as Revolutionary leader Patrick Henry said: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship."
@trump34 John Ashcroft was roundly criticized for his "No King but Jesus" speech at Bob Jones University, but he was only reminding us of our colonial and Revolutionary War heritage. In a 1774 report to King George, the Governor of Boston noted: "If you ask an American, who is his master? He will tell you he has none, nor any governor but Jesus Christ."
@trump34 The pre-war Colonial Committees of Correspondence soon made this the American motto: "No King but King Jesus." And this sentiment was carried over into the 1783 peace treaty with Great Britain ending that war, which begins "In the name of the most Holy and Undivided Trinity.
@trump34 In a 1962 speech to Congress, Senator Robert Byrd noted that of the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention, 29 were Anglicans, 16-18 were Calvinists, and among the rest were 2 Methodists, 2 Lutherans, 2 Roman Catholics, 1 lapsed Quaker-sometimes Anglican, & only 1 open Deist Benjamin Franklin who attended all Christian worships and called for public prayer.
@trump34 Samuel Chase was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, a Justice of the US Supreme Court, and, as Chief Justice of the State of Maryland, wrote in 1799 ( Runkel v Winemiller): "By our form of government, the Christian religion is the established religion... ." (Maryland was one of nine States having established churches supported by taxpayers at the time of the adoption of the Constitution; these churches were gradually disestablished, the last in 1833.
@trump34 The Maryland constitution, typical of many of the States, restricted public office to Christians until, in 1851, it was changed to allow Jews who believed in a future state of rewards and punishments to also serve).
Go ahead & call me some more names, or insult my body parts. That's all you have in your arsenal obviously.
@Naketaa I'm just trying to talk to you at your level. You started the name calling. All of you Jesus freaks are all the same. You pick your verses from the bible that suit you and throw the rest away. You still haven't told me what the president said that's wrong.
@trump34 You can put poison in candy, but it is still poison~ Marxism is EVIL & is responsible for millions of deaths, as in MURDERS of innocent ppl! Our Pres is in real danger because of who he has aligned himself with. These ppl believe the ends justifies the means. So a few die in their assent to overthrow America. They do not care. The commies now call themselves Democratic Socialist. But only the name has changed. Devine Manifestation is of LUCIFER! That is his MANTRA! Not of God the Father
Christianity is written on every page of America's amazing hx & he presents well doc facts which will chng your perspective about what it means to be a Christian in America. Truth about America's Christian past as it relates to supreme court justices, & presidents.Christian character of colonial charters, state constitutions, & the US Constitution. Christian foundation of colleges & Biblical Law God & the Constitution. Gd place to start your res
@mantisfistvideos It was freedom from GOVERNMENT setting up a Church! "Laus Deo" (which means "Praise be to God" in Latin). Not only did someone in Washington D.C. shift the actual capstone replica so that visitors couldn't see or read that Latin inscription, but someone literally changed the display sign by omitting the sentence that described the Laus Deo etching, which was there on the sign in previous years! Just a small example of how the lft has stolen or distorted your true Heritage~
@Naketaa You keep mentioning your body parts.I don't know what's wrong with your body.I just know you have a lot of time on your hands & a lot of hate in your heart.Remember the KKK is a Christian organization. That's not the "race card" that's the reality card.
@Naketaa Stupid, I said the KKK was a Christian organization, not a republican organization.I don't care what political party put it together. And i don't care enough to fact check. All of my words have been mine. You can't say the same with your copy and paste methods. Please don't write back until you can tell me.......WHAT THE PRESIDENT SAID IN THIS VIDEO THAT IS NON-FACTUAL.Keep watching Glen Beck. Your answer may be on the next episode.
@trump34 Democrats, both north and south fought the attempt to implement the equality for African-Americans gained at such a high cost. This opposition was often violent. Indeed, the Ku Klux Klan operated as the de facto terrorist arm of the national Democratic Party during Reconstruction. THE PRES SAID WE ARE NO LONGER A CHRISTIAN NATION! HE LIES>>> Perod the end /curtsey & good bye :p
@trump34 KKK was formed by Democrats & had millions of members in the 1920's
Today the KKK is almost extinct in comparison to the NEW BLACK PANTHER PARTY who ENDORSED Obama & stationed ARMED THUGS to intimidate likely McCain Voters out side of a Philadelphia Polling Station.
BTW - BHO has obtained grant monies + earmarks for the NEW BLACK PANTHER PARTY in Chicago for many years
@Naketaa This is what I was waiting for. The real reason you Hate the president. You are a racist. Don't hide behind God. Own it. Glen Beck is entertainment much like the National Enquirer. Were you there to witness these "armed thugs?" I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Could this whole New Black Panther incident be a fabrication by the republican party for political gain. Very likely.Remember the reason why the Black Panthers was started was because of oppression from your "Christian Nation."
@trump34 I'm not racist! What i am is an AMERICAN concerned about the direction this SOCIALIST Prez has taken us! & NOW i choose to no longer be silent! The commies have always been the enemy! Nothing has changed except that they infiltrated every important fiber of Americas being! Our Sch's, Colleges, Church's & most sickening of all our Gov! DAVID BARTON IS WHO I QUOTE! He alone will save America from COMMUNISM! Get your facts strt! & Guess what? WE OUT NUMBER YOU... & we're SILENT NO MORE!!!
@Naketaa I'll tell you what. I'll stop wasting your time and you stop wasting mine. i will never believe in you magical Jewish carpenter and the man that live above the clouds that controls everything. And I hope Obama doesn't believe in any of this nonsense. That's more of a reason for me to vote for him.
@Naketaa the commies have always been the enemy? its so funny how stupid the public is, the government constantly manipulates them on who to hate, first we were isolationists, then we were told the nazis were the bad guys that we had to help the opressed chinese and russian, and that they were the good guys(both communist nations) then the communists became the bad guys, and we were told that we had to help the muslims fight the russians, now the muslims r the enemy, its so funny, u r just pawns
Respond to this video...You still haven't told me what the president said that's non-factual in this horribly edited video.Just remember your big hero never can't answer what publications she reads to keep current and did not know that Africa is a continent. She also believes that dinosaurs & people lived together 4000 yrs. ago.Yeah,I want an ignorant soccer mom running my country.I'm glad you have that idiot running in 2012. We are guaranteed a victory. Now go watch Glenn Beck!!!!
I see nothing wrong in what he is saying. Christians pick and choose their scripture to suit their end purpose and ignore what doesn't benefit them. Should be kept out of government.
I find it very interesting that when Christians point out something that is wrong with America (like drugs, taking our Christian roots out of our own country) we're marked as haters and bigots, but when other people put their hate onto Christians they're seen as spokespeople, enlightened & intelligent. Whether Christian or Atheist, haters are just haters
Politicians are BIG FAT LIARS!!!!! "America's Christian Heritage." Please. This nation was built on FREEDOM and FREEMASONRY. Thats what the gov't doesnt want you to know. If this coutry was REALLY Christian, why are they plotting to remove "Under God" from the Pledge Of Allegiance, which I will not recite when they do???
This country was based on real values, not christian rhetoric. Why don't you bible-thumpers stay home, watch evangelical late-night television, and give huge donations to prostitute-visiting, make-up slathering bimbos, and child molesters, and buy your tickets to heaven with your ill-gotten gains, while you spew racism and hatred towards all the non-white savages in the world. Or, maybe you can help raise the illegitimate brats your slut daughters have because you won't allow sex education!
Whatever you are just spewing garbage. what he said was the truth, and you guys are just mad because you can't handle being provoked by someone that is educated. christian is about FAITH. you believe in it. that doesn't make it fact you idiots.
Actually, God is NOT mentioned once in the U.S. Constitution. The words "God" "Jesus" & "Creator" are NOT found in the constitution for a reason. They strongly valued separation of church and state, it's part of the reason our great nation was even founded.
These words are however found in the Declaration of Independence but if you were actually educated you would know that this was because the DOI was basically a letter written to a king of a religious country, pleading for our independence.
If the producers of this video were intelligent or had decent minds at all, they'd realize that American IS NOT a Christian nation, nor has it EVER BEEN a Christian nation. George Washington, Sam Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Ben Franklin, just to name a few Founding Fathers, were all Deists! They were the Atheists of there time! The country was founded on freedom. Period. Not Christianity. Not religion. Not fundamentalism. You're grossly incorrect to assume otherwise.
owh....so its ok to for you christians to mock on muslims believe....but it aint alrite for you guys to get insulted........that is fuckin bullshit....when Bush talked about jihad, Islam's rule which he didn't know shit about.....its alrite, but it aint alrite for obama to mention anything about christian.

Lol,little does he know that the bible was made oh, I don't know, one or two thousand years ago?Obviously, they won't change the bible, and that's why those passages are still in there.
uhm..where are you from? the midwest? some rural postutopia? Because a healthy portion of our nation is not christian. This vid wouldn't be up if he mocked Islam or Buddhism..you have wasted our lives with this utter garbage.
I'm not from the US but even I know the US is a secular nation. So even if Obama seems mocking it's not shameful. What would be shameful was if he said religion was banned, which is against the first amendment.
I don't care that this is taken out of context. Yes, the Bible does hint at things like that here and there-- IN THE OLD TESTAMENT. Jesus came to Earth and made a new covenant with mankind and laid down a new set of rules (not replacing the 10 commandments, of course! :D). I didn't hear him mention ANYTHING about the New Testament in there.
Clearly he didn't read those well, many of those laws were for very specific situations. For one thing The Bible does not promote chattel slavery, which is where you own another person. There are actually around 7 different types of slavery.
more so called christians need to understand the VERY TRUE POINTS he brings up

Just when I thought I couldn't respect the president anymore, I find this... What an absolute beast. It's quite funny that there are people who have been so warped, that they see someone making such an incredibly reasoned and well thought out point as an attack on a nation's heritage.
It's people, such as the individual that created this video, that are responsible for retarding American culture and inhibiting the United States from fulfilling its true potential.

MckyMseNTarotCrds 6 months ago
Obama was bang-on with this speech. America is not a Christian nation. It is, instead, a nation partially inhabited by Christians. The notion that members of a particular religion should get preferential treatment or recognition over all other is antithetical to the First Amendment.

If Christians actually read their bible, they would see how full shit it is. For instance, how about Lot offering his daughters up for sex or these daughters getting their father drunk and sleeping with him? How about Jepthah killing his daughter for a making a promise to God? I'm glad Obama said this because it shows the man actually sees the bullshit in religion.

The part I see as most rediculous is that more so than "America's" (really- the United States) heritage being Christian, "America's" heritage is people being free to to follow any religion they so choose, and being that is the case, our laws shouldn't be determined by scripture of one religion. Now, the settlers forcing that religion on the people already living here, the Native Americans, is a whole different story.
The org. that made this are a bunch of idiots.

"Obama mocks America's Christian heritage" is an inflammatory title, not rightly given to what was seen above. "Obama points out that public policy and religion not easy bedfellows" is more accurate.

Thomas Jefferson made an interpretation of the 1st Amendment calling it a "wall of separation between church and State."
trump34 1 year ago
@trump34 From the beginning of the struggle to secure America’s independence, our leaders encouraged patriots to keep religious faith central in their thinking and actions. For example, signer Samuel Adams urged:
May every citizen in the army and in the country have a proper sense of the Deity upon his mind and an impression of the declaration recorded in the Bible, “Him that honoreth Me, I will honor; but he that despiseth Me shall be lightly esteemed.”
[I Samuel 2:30]
Naketaa 1 year ago
@trump34 Signer John Witherspoon similarly advised:
Let therefore everyone who… offers himself as a champion in his country’s cause be persuaded to reverence the name and walk in the fear of the Prince of the kings of the Earth; and then he may with the most unshaken firmness expect the issue [God’s protection] either in victory or death.
Naketaa 1 year ago
@trump34 General George Washington likewise told his troops:
The blessing and protection of Heaven are at all times necessary but especially so in times of public distress and danger. The General hopes and trusts that every officer and man will endeavor so to live and act as becomes a Christian soldier defending the dearest rights and liberties of his country.
Naketaa 1 year ago
@Naketaa He later reminded them:
While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.
Naketaa 1 year ago
@trump34 In the early stages of the Revolution, the patriots lost battle after battle, but their strong faith in God would not let them despair—a point clearly illustrated by a conversation between signers Benjamin Rush and John Adams. As Rush later recounted:
Naketaa 1 year ago
@Naketaa Upon my return from the army to Baltimore in the winter of 1777, I sat next to John Adams in Congress, and upon my whispering to him and asking him if he thought we should succeed in our struggle with G. Britain, he answered me, “Yes — if we fear God and repent of our sins.”
Naketaa 1 year ago
@trump34 With the signers’ unwavering faith in God and their “firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence,” they finally saw the tide begin to turn. The change of fortune was so obvious that General Washington told General Thomas Nelson:
The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations [to God].
Naketaa 1 year ago
@trump34 For the early patriots, God and Country, although two distinct entities, were inseparably joined in a mutually beneficial relationship. Perhaps Abigail Adams stated the premise most concisely when she declared:
[A] true patriot must be a religious man… [H]e who neglects his duty to his Maker may well be expected to be deficient and insincere in his duty towards the public.
Naketaa 1 year ago
@trump34 Signer John Witherspoon agreed, reminding a group of patriots:
[H]e is the best friend to American liberty who is most sincere and active in promoting true and undefiled religion and who sets himself with the greatest firmness to bear down profanity and immorality of every kind. Whoever is an avowed enemy of God, I scruple not [do not hesitate] to call him an enemy to his country.
Naketaa 1 year ago
@Naketaa God grant that in America true religion and civil liberty may be inseparable and that the unjust attempts to destroy the one may in the issue tend to the support and establishment of both.

What about the good principals of other religions.
trump34 1 year ago

I hope so.

Naketaa 1 year ago
@trump34 "The real object of the First Amendment was not to countenance, much less to advance Mohammedanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sects and to prevent any national ecclesiastical patronage of the national government".
