being critical of music is one thing, but basing that criticism on the singer being "a smug little bitch" is something that is not valid at all. If you dislike the music, that's fine. But if you are unable to dissociate your personal opinion of a person from the merits or otherwise of the music, then you have no understanding of music and you are a fool.
