  • vst?

  • thats not a bass! sound like a distorted drone

  • @HELLSPAWN1973 yeah quite dirty. Not that good imho.

  • Agree to a point. I generally notch and then resample it. Then process and resample again. But u r correct ref notch eq and moving up or down a semi tone. Good spot

  • not sure i agree with your use of eq on this. notching out the ringing frequency would only make a difference in a certain note range.

  • 02:07 titididi whaha,,

  • I used to dream about a macbook pro, but then, I took a virus bass tutorial to the eyes...

  • Every virus ti tutorial I watch, makes me want one more and more. Been trying to find a video that discourages me.

  • nice job!!

  • Do some on drum processing, layering methods :)

  • can you do a tutorial on some sort of vocoded bass with lots of timbral character and movement with added high frequency rasp. hope your well buddy

  • You rich bastard. I want one of those too :(

  • SICK!!!

  • Great work specialistsound - Any chance you could do a video on creating hollow deep style bass like spy's kinda style?

    Thanks :)

  • @drcryptic1

Use the same approach in this vid but with detuned squares, or a square/sine patch. Square waves are what give that hollow Icicle/SPY style bass.

  • excellent brother !!!

  • 05:50 - that hurt.

  • More more more on the virus fella !!! big respect for the upload !!!

  • Are you working with a hardware synth or is that a VsTi?

  • @killaknut its clearly stated its the virus

  • @killaknut This is a vsti

  • @NicenEasyuk Its not a VSti. Its a vst GUI shell for a hardware synth. It will not work without the virus hardware synth

  • @specialistsound I stand corrected, it's both! ProQ looks awesome btw.

  • Alright thanks for the answer. Also if anyone wants to reply to this, what advantages does a hardware synth give me since most of the sounds can possibly be recreated with software?

  • @killaknut It has flashy lights and looks good when people come round :o) Seriously tho, its a very powerful synth.

  • cheers for help, big up
