  • at the beginning after the slide from 2-5 you dont have to put your middle finger on the fourth when you play that part.

  • thank you thank you thank you!

  • Very nice backup part. Your video helped me learn to pick out Cripple Creek on the Mando. !!

    THANKS!

  • Where is the Am chord in cripple creek?

  • The Am is a substitution for the D7 in this particular example.

  • Shows what I know.

Thanks for the nice back up work.

  • did you write this yourself?

  • what's the average size of a banjo top skin?

  • Good video man. Would you be able to make a video solely about backup for any song instead of a specific song. Theres no good videos out there for backup banjo, however it's one of the most important parts of playing with a band or another musician.

  • One fine sounding banjo you have there, I really like it.

  • hey where'd ya get the fifth string hook? i've been wanting one for a while.

  • Funny you should ask since I removed it , and installed spikes, shortly after this video was shot. It's a Shubb 5th string capo and you can find them online or I'll sell you mine dirt cheap.

  • Where can I find it? Thanx for your offer, but i think i'll let someone else take that opportunity, (dunno if i spelled that right)

  • Actually, I might consider it after seeing how darn expensive they are, what price did you have in mind?

  • Oh, and would it fit a Deering Goodtime?

  • I would recommend going with spikes but I'll sell you my Shubb for $20 shipped.

And yes it will fit on any banjo.

  • K, I'll think about it

  • i can play this...its bloody hard...also good transition effect

  • cripple creek, hard? Are you joking? hahaha i guess thats why people that say "bloody" don't use pick banjos

  • Hi, thanks a lot! great idea! thanks for your time doing this!!

  • Thanks Sean, sitting with the banjo behind my computer helped me through one of my first backup sessions!!

    Great!!!

    Fred Hissink, the Netherlands

  • I think it's REALLY REALLY GREAT, Sean, that you put so much helpful, encouraging and good quality (i.e. including chords in the lower right corner!) banjo teaching material up here on YouTube - thank you very very much! :-D I will look out for more in future from you on different songs - bluegrass mostly? Some 'pop' maybe? Some 'country' maybe? Cheers!
