One of the best Keyboard solos of all time. A song I can never get bored of. There was no band like The Stranglers before and has definitely not been since. They were so ahead of there time. In fact, I think time still hasn't caught up, even after 30 years.

These guys were the missing link between prog and punk. They were playing in pubs in London. Jet used to give Paul Cook drum tips. Joe Strummer said to Hugh he wanted a group like them. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THESE GUYS COULD INSTRUMENTALLY LAYER A SONG AND KEEP IT TONGUE IN CHEEK LIKE NOBODY ELSE

The Stranglers were awesome. Saw them around 4-5 times in NYC in the late 70's. Hope they reform for a reunion tour.

Saw Cornwell at the Bender Theatre a couple of weeks ago in NYC. He was great but could use a keyboard for Strangler sounds.
