@Thefallenraptor there's an interview with Malcolm Wilson (team director) where he explained that they hit some chop down tree. The impact was at Gigi's doors area. From the pictures they shown it's clear the impact was hard.

@mastadriver No shit :P you can see the floor and dashboard move up towards the roof thats why he has his feet against his chest because the pedal box is squashed betwin the dasboard and floor. LOL

@Chouldentfindanygood the initial impact was on front left wheel and colapsable steering is actually safety feature. investigation showed (and gigi confirmed this as well) that his femur was broken by doors and rollcage pushing in... LOL

@Thefallenraptor but if it pushed the front axle up the peddle box might have come right into the car jolting his leg its been known, i think this could be the case as the steering collome came loose

it wasn't a jump! Galli said that a large rock was on side of road. He cut the corner and it lifted the car in the air onto other side of road where he hit a tree stump 1st then a tree second.
