I work at a hospital and have found that even those with health care get screwed due to insurance companies nit picking on whether something was prior or not. if you had a cough then ended up with throat cancer they would deny payment because you were treated with a caugh before you had their insurance. People could do the same thing with tobacco but they still go to the store and buy cigarettes. A lot of people wouldn't want to take the time and care to grow something they can buy at the store. If the substance were legalized and taxed it would still be cheaper than the street prices.

i thought that too but cigarettes dont get you high. but on the other hand the only problem i have when im driving high is that i go too slow and i always think people are going to hit me. when im drunk i have an awful lead foot. but i think it should be more like alcohol cuz i am somewhat inhibited when im stoned.

I think when it comes to a legal standard, yes it should be treated like tobacco, but not in a health standard, no one has ever died from marijuana and there is absolutely no factual evidence that shows that marijuana is harmful to ANY area of the body including the brain and lungs, contrary to popular belief and to what the media and government would like us to believe.

Why should marijuana be taxed and regulated like alcohol when it is no where near the risks of alcohol? Marijuana has been demonized for decades but it doesn't mean we have to partially believe the demonization in the form of treating marijuana like alcohol. In reality it is safer than caffeine (and yet caffeine has no regulations or special taxes)!

Medical Marijuana is just absurd. Rob and all the other activists at MPP and Norml need to swtich focus to decriminazation and harm reduction. 25% of the population has s socialogical dispoistion to have extreme paranoia and panic attacks. A woman in england who was prescibed marinol who was 75 killed herself cause she thought her family was poisoning her. Decriminzation and eventual legalization is the answer. medical marijuana is not and only further hurts the cause.

I work at a hospital and have found that even those with health care get screwed due to insurance companies nit picking on whether something was prior or not. if you had a cough then ended up with throat cancer they would deny payment because you were treated with a caugh before you had their insurance. Complete and utter bull shit.

Well i personally feel that they should legalize it. Regulate it like they do with alchohol. 21 should be the limit. Believe it or not, it is the Pharmaceutical companies that are the biggest stonewall against this action. How can they compete with something that god gave us that grows naturally and is simple to refine? Beer and drugs are made by man, Marijuana is made by god. Who do YOU trust?
