Great car, great video. One correction... the model years for the TR4 began in 1962, not 1963... and even some were produced and imported in 1961. Some of these 1961 models were registered as '61's, and some as '62's. Of these '61's,the first had non-syncro transmissions, TR3 seats, SU carbs, and what is known as the "short bubble hood"... because the bubble for carb clearance was not as long as later models. I understand approximately 800 cars had the short bubble.
I liked your video. A few things however. Not all TR4A models had IRS. The light you pointed to as the high beam indicator is actually the generator light. The high beam indicator is in the speedometer. One last thing, the windscreen wiper arms are reversed. The bent arm goes in the middle. Nice car. I had two just like it. Enjoy!
Oilman, You are of course correct on the generator light and the high beam indicators. I knew I said it wrong. I must have reversed the wiper blades when I re-installed them right after the restoration in 1986. And I must say that I did not know that about the TR-4A and IRS. When I bought mine the 4A was just shipping to the US. I thought about getting one of those, but I'm glad a bought what I bought. Thanks for writing, I enjoyed hearing from you. Matt
Great video my father has got a 1963 tr4 in the garage lovely car i noticed you have the wooden dash in yours that was an extra on the uk spec standard they came with a body colored metal one.
