Adolf Hitler got the award in 38, and getting it is not a "reward" for being good, it's recognition of having major impact (good or bad).
Some love him, some hate him, some think he's a fool, but they all have been affected by his actions.
I agree 2010 is going to be a very interesting year. I have my closet full of rice beans and canned goods. I've dusted off my camping gear and have guns and ammo.
