Pipe Smoking : Different Kinds Of Tobacco

Thank you for your video. I am currently a non-smoker, but I have been playing with the idea of smoking a pipe. This is probably a dumb question, but what do these tabacco's taste like when smoking. I enjoy smelling the aromatic blends of other people's pipes, but does the smoke actually taste like it smells. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

I've always been intrigued by tobacco smoking, NOT cigarette smoking but pipe or cigars. I'm not going to lie that when I think of it they all get mentally grouped into the same category. Is pipe or cigar smoking 'healthier' than normal smoking?

I had a friend who was smoking a pipe for the first time with me, just trying it to see if he liked it, and even though I told him not to inhale, he accidentally did, and he ended up puking his guts out because he was coughing so hard.

You just want to draw the smoke into your mouth and exhale it.

They are amazing pipes, I can even go as far to say they are better than some of the 70-100 dollar billiard pipes I've tried.

Oh and Jeff, the cigarette smoke smell differs from what tobacco and papers are used.

When i hand roll my john Silvers and use john silver papers, it gives off a low odour tobacco smell, not that burnt paper or burnt/bad blended tobacco smell :)

Sutliff Private Stock blows. But, its cheaper and made by Altadis. Mcclellands or MacBaren will give a much better tune to sing about different types. C&D and Gregory Pease are also much better choices. Smoking Sutliff is a good start...but wont really show you the stars and stripes that some "Styles" offer. Also, saying that there is only 2 types of smokers is wrong. Some only smoke tobacco specific blends, Like Va's, Periques, Balkans, etc.

@sbl212 It doesn't need to be kept in a humidor, but it is best if is kept very slightly moist. It can be smoked after it dries out, but it won't be quite as nice a smoke. One trick my dad taught me was to keep it in an apothecary jar, with a slice of apple. The apple will keep it just right for a couple of weeks (but don't leave it in there too long or it will rot).
