@MizzPinupDoll i said trying to help people, but even if they inspire a few people to put true devotion into raising children, that's helping. still can't blame them for doing what they want and sharing that with the world. it's brave for them to be open about their lifestyle when it will obviously attract criticism and judgement.

and don't call them those names when you don't know what they're really like. just because the media likes to portray all christians that way doesn't mean it's true.

@TheUser1013 I'm not just basing those opinions off of what the media portrays, i'm basing it off of what i've read and heard from them directly (in interviews or on their website) I've looked into this. I'm not just making assumptions.

and of course they should be free to do what they want. I'm not saying this shouldn't be allowed to be open about what they do. BUT it shouldn't be put up on a pedestal and encouraged as some kind of family ideal either. it's antiquated as fuck.

What will happen when the family falls on hard times and they cant provide for their children? Nobody wants to talk about that though...It's people like this you say a little prayer for and hope that somehow when they plan their next vacation that TLC pays for and they board that plane, it somehow gets flown into a skyscraper '9-11 esque' style.

I find this family amazing on the same level I find Mormon polygamist families amazing. Both are based on the subservience of the mother, though in this case it is only one mother, while in polygamy there are multiple mothers. In either case the female(s) take the majority role spawning and rearing the offspring. The older female children become the other mothers in this arrangement. I personally find it oppressive; however, I have no right to dictate to other women how they should reproduce.

@northernlight32 I find it appalling on every level. The older girls do MOST all of the parenting & that's so unfair to them. Michelle has no business having another baby at 45 esp. given she has 19 other children & had severe health issues the last time. When you have grandkids, it's time to quit spewing out more kids. Josh & Anna's kids seem to be an afterthought for them. What they have found is a way to keep their TV show going. They are purposely trying to have more which is so wrong.

@dan24b The evidence is actually there, we are finding every so often the landmarks of scenes that occured in the Bible. ie. we now know where the parting of the Red Sea occured as ancient chariots were found at a high point where people would have crossed. It's all been documented. Remember that when the whole world has heard about God and Jesus is the time when Jesus' return is predicted to occur. @dan24b When the time comes for me to go, I can only hope that it happens on my own terms but I know that my loved ones will remember me and I will live on in their memories. I don't need to believe in some self-absorbed daddy in the sky in order to not fear death because it's something that is just a part of life and everyone will have to experience it. That fact that you worship a god that would torture me forever, simply for not believing in him speaks more to your immorality, not mine.

Please answer me this; one of my twin daughters died of a pineoblastoma brain tumour in July, she died the day after my girls turned 5 years old. I held my baby girl for a night. In the 2 years we lived in the hospital, we saw ONLY children dying. Would you like for me to believe that my daughter is just gone and that's it? After horrible suffering for 2 years? I want to SEE my baby again, do I care what others think?

@94MaverickGT You can believe anything that makes you feel better. Unfortunately, reality suggests that once the brain dies, the person no longer exists. Remember and treasure the brief time that you had with your daughter but the fact that you desire to be with her again, does not mean that it will happen. We all lose loved ones and yes it hurts a lot but once they are gone, there is no evidence that they continue to live on or that we get to reunite with them. Wishful thinking I'm afraid.
