@mentoneman I have both an Empress and a Timefactor, and though the Pigtronix does sound quite exciting, it seems that different from the other two, it can't store anything, it can't recall presets. I'm not 100% sure of this, but from the demos and from what I read, I guess that's its biggest problem if compared to the Empress and to the Eventide. Though it does sound like quite a pedal - incidentally, very nice demo, excellent strumming!
i heard both the echolution and the timfactor for the first time at NAMM and walked away thinking the tf was very versatile and great sounding, but the echolution tone won out.
that said i no longer have it, nor the timeline or the roland tape echo---currently using the tc flashback ,and love the sound of el capistan but holding out until new timeline is released to decide.
Do you have any suggestions as to how to run a reverb pedal into an amp's high gain channel without the reverb compressing? The amp doesn't have an effects loop... would an Xotic X-Blender work?
LOL awful may be a "bit" over the top but honestly it was a bit edgy for me as well. it was the 6L6 tubes and operator error mostly! have you heard my 6V6 clips in the same amp? much sweeter imo...
@STRATOCASTER1992 no kiddin...my gtr wept after a few of those clams i hobbled through! it's funny all i hear on these vids are my weaknesses i need to improve upon.
honestly i design every tone around the fact that i am going to use it live at church with up to 5 singers, a grand piano in my lap, sax, bass, drums, keyboards, acoustic gtr, and another electric gtr, in front of an audience ranging from infants to 90 year olds!
@mentoneman / Hello Lord of sounds, congrats to this awesome sound. I have one question, How do you record this sounds ?? going to a mixer and after with a fire wire interface in your comp ??? Thanks for help, Regards Alex
@gitarrenaxl normally i just close mic the speakers and run them into my camera's xlr inputs and basically try not to clip the inputs, which have switchable pad switches that help.
but for this clip and the timeline delay vid, i recorded the audio into a roland vs880 for a cleaner sound, transferred the audio to garage band via sp/dif out of vs880 to optical in on mac G5 using a converter, and synced audio and video in the computer with final cut pro. way more hassle but great sound.
What settings to you use for the Barber Compressor? Do you use this for your church gig as well? Great tone!

Pat. Awesome, fantastic tone and beautifully played as ever. You must now humbly accept the legendary status as the 3rd tone king !!
Question please - Do you think the Tyler "Secret" h'bucker will get close to your Tom Holmes unit. Cheers and God bless.

@Fumbleboot
thanks man-
i'm not experienced with tyler's pickups...i think he likes hotter output pickups than what i have in the holmes 450.
all i know is that the holmes low output PAF sound is ideal for my tastes. high output pickups are fun but one dimensional over time.
blessings!

@sologtrstewie thank you-
i tend to gravitate to the same general tones and effects with whatever i use.
delays around 400ms, hi cut the repeats and modulate them so not so dry and digital, mix and repeat amounts just set to taste
