I talked to a friend of mine who is a science artist, who has lots of dinosaur casts, that is, accurate reproductions of skulls etc. I said, I'd love to have just one nice-looking dinosaur bone in great shape. He said "keep the drumstick bone the next time you eat a roast chicken, some bird bones look identical to those of their dinosaur ancestors". So I did.
