  • Beautiful plane, great vid, thanx.

  • the funniest thing about this video is that it achieves a better rate of climb than an actual c152

  • @RightWingAviator Most RC planes do that!

  • fake

  • Awesome video! Great job of choosing the perfect mix of music and real-time sound. Very nice plane, great flying - love the video.

  • My goodness you were way up there. Great Looking Cessna, amazing.

  • absolutely fantastic video mate. great music, great flying, great footage well done!!

  • very nice cessna great video/ how do you put music in the video i have a few videos like this but cannot figure out how to set music

  • you're missing the spinner

  • beautifull cant say anything more

  • This was my first large Electric Conversion and once done I switched totally! I prefer the instant power and no hassel to be honest. The down side is that the initial cost can be expensive for the li-po`s etc. These days you can convert any size aircraft to Electric.Regarding FPV,not really my thing.

  • I was wondering if you've ever thought of a FPV system. I can't help but think that such a set-up would be amazing considering the altitude your getting. You may even be able to fly beyond sight flying it strictlly from an FPV set-up. Great video and great aircraft!!!!

  • Do you feel that you gave up anything by converting to electric. I'm a newbie but already a big fan of electric for obvious reasons. Yours is the largest so far that I've seen powered by electricity. I'm wondering what the limit is, size wize of an electric set-up.

  • i love the way you did that video i went flying in the full scale sunday and your flight is very realistic again very very good job

  • Looks like a 152 to me (cessna 172?)

Motor run time was 8 mins with 30% capacity remaining.Approx 2-2500 feet altlitude, for a couple of moments the tiny dot did disappear!

  • It is a 152. The pilot knows what he is talking about, its his plane. Plus the manufacturer would not label the tail 152 if they were making a 172.

  • Why does that look alot like a cessena 172

  • Because Cessna 152s are: Single Engine, High Wing, small, similar overall shape.

Many reasons why it looks like a 172. 172's just bigger and a different shape. 172 has 4 seats. The 152 has 2 seats.

  • That's incredible! A couple of questions. What is the run time for the engine and how high were you flying that thing? I'm a fixed-wind full-scale pilot and that looked liked upwards of 2000 feet if I had to guess. A 1/4 scale airplane like that has to have a pretty big wingspan to be able to see it clear enough to fly it that high. In my RC club, the saying is "Out of sight, out of mind." My semi-scale Cherokee has a 62 inch wing and once I get it up around 800 feet, she's getting pretty small!

  • absolut geil

  • How did you go that high and not lose sight of it?

  • Thanks for all you comments!

Music is Above and Beyond - To be with You.

  • man thats such a cool plane!

  • Just Got to Ask. Who is the music from its great...!

Or is it form a compilation?

    Best Regards.

  • just fucking awesome

  • awesome vid.. ty

  • That was awesome. good job on the flight and the video and editing was very well done.

  • I wish the real C152 performed like that!

  • your music choices are really great. mind letting me know the names of the tracks?

also, it looks like your really up there. are you flying along in a chase plane, or do you just have good eyes? lol

  • Beautiful RC and nice vid.

  • That is sweet.

  • i soloed in a cessna 152 couple months ago lol i thought that video on the side was real plane by a pilot lol. i fly a 1.4 scale piper super cub!

  • wow, i bet that has one beefy motor and esc!

  • More and more RC models are going to batteries because the of rising costs of nitro. A plane this size I would have used a Gasoline motor, a couple bucks a gallon, and a gallon of gas you are good to go all day plus not near the mess of nitro. Batteries ok but the heat on the ESC, cost of Lipo's is high and the long charge time needs improvement, not to mention Lipo's can explode if they get to hot or get damaged in the least bit. But this is a model I would love to add to my collection..

  • very nice video, What type of Camera are you using ?

  • with that size of plane you could use a regular digital camera with video capabilities

  • that was awesome

    thanks for the flight

  • Veri nace fly.

    Felicidades

  • Love the flaps too!

    Does it have brakes???

  • Comment removed

  • looks very cute (but huge) nice fly!

  • very good plane, exelent fly!!!

  • Beautiful plane. It would be nice to see it take off, fly and land as opposed to looking out a side window.

  • totally awesome though, how much do those things cost?..and how high were u it looked over 2000 feet

  • u put a camera in it? nice

  • Steve your Cessna 152 is fantastic . . .

Good flight, damage, however, that the limited visibility

  • Nice flying, nice model!

However, electric is good for maybe 10 minutes, if you want to fly for a longer you'll need a case of batteries... gas or glow will give you the entire day of fun. Besides the engines are part of the thing, you know.

Then, you'll need to get your model flying as realistic as possible - power is not an issue, they'll fly just fine with electric or gas/glow.

If you consider the weight of the batteries + motor, gas/glow may be even lighter based on my experience.

  • how do you see them that far away?

  • mrfourty you would be suprised i far you can see something thaat big

  • okay but its like a dot.

    maybe its just the cameras

  • Erm... can i ask something...?

Why mod it to Electric? Why not just keep it a I/C engine?

  • Less mess, less problems, more power, more quiet, more durable, safer to fly, not that "EEEEEEEEEEE!!!" sound. Thats why he probably converted it. Maybe I'm wrong.

  • U dont get more power with a electric! And the electric 'Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' Is more anoying! Nitro Sounds BETTER!

  • An electric motor has an efficiency of 90%. Glow engines have an efficiency of only 15% - 20%. The electric has the same torque at low RPM as with high RPM, while glow engines are very weak at low RPMs. I know for sure you get more power with a electric, but it is hard to compare directly between electric and nitro because of the two different technologies. The cost/power/weigth ratio is better on electric. No doubt. I'll never go back to nitro again. Some nostalgia with nitro, but that's all.

  • what is the highest altitude this aircraft can reach and where can i purchase one?

  • man that plane looks really realistic

  • that is awesome mate such a beautiful view that also in the sunset would be amazing view

  • maybe some aerobatics for the next vid ;)

  • Awesome..5 stars for you my friend.

  • ooohhh yessss, .. 5 Stars! nice video!

  • Thanks for the email, please read all the comments which cover your questions!

    Cheers

    Steve

  • amazingly peacfull, how high were u getting, and i did not know shots like that were soo great. what music.

  • Awesome.

  • Awesome, just imagine flying and recording with this plane over the Niagara Falls, and having such a nice music.

  • OMG!!! Such a beautiful aircraft. That RC Cessna 152 you have is more impressive then the real Cessna 152s I rent at the flying club!

  • Yes,its a brushless motor. All spec is listed at the beginning of the vid.

  • Wow it had flaps and everything.

  • is that a brushless motor and also what type speed control are you using thanks

  • Excellent video, this looks very like a very high altitude!

  • VERY NICE VIDEO

  • The artist is "Above and Beyond" and the tracks are "Tri- State"&"Good For Me" from the Album Tri-State on Anjunabeats Records.

  • hey, does anybody know the name of the song and artist? thanks =)

  • Nice video.... working on converting A monocoupe to electric as we speak.

  • when a plane crashes, and theres no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?

  • Yes but no one hears it.

  • Lol, Humor xD

  • that was great ive watched this multiple times i have my pilots liscnece and im 16 i just got to fly solo this plane operates pretty close to the real thing....one question....how do you see it from all the way from the ground.......i guess VFR? plz reply

  • how much is it to get a pilots license? im 14 and im learning how to fly in linden,nj...but from ur experience, about how much is it?

  • it can range from 6500 to 9000$......but if your not planning on flying tons of miles look into sport liscence that can be as cheap as 3000$ but theres more restrictions...if you have any more wuestions just message me.

  • damn, i want to be a pilot, but thats preety expensive, i suppose i could get in airforce and they could teach me how to fly.

  • its all about book work in the military.

  • then how to they get pilot, do they pull them out of the janitors closet and say "here, your a pilot, your training begins..... now.

  • no you join the military then if you want to be a pilot you can sign up for flight schhool.......where you are in your class (grades) deermines what aircraft and wut division ....also if you fail you may end up working on the deck of a carrier or on an airfield working on the aircraft you wished to fly.

  • what if i get into the air force academy

  • look it up.

  • Wow Steve, you where so high dude, did you have your altimeter set on QNH or QFE.

  • Looks and sounds great, do all eletric planes have music?.

  • No,I added the music afterwards to enhance the viewing pleasure!

  • @steve2973 And good choice of song. however its tri-state by above and beyond not good for me

  • @Hardstylaz My mistake i hadnt finished watching the vid when i posted. Good for me is later.

  • The camera is a Nikon Coolpix S200

The power is awesome from this set up.I could take off and climb vertical if I wanted to!! Really have to watch the throttle!!!

  • Nicely done.

  • The climb rate is excellent. Great footage. What capture equipment did you use.

And the take off strip looks excellent

  • Excellent! How much is this plane worth? Where can i find it? And how did you get to control it and see it from down There!!!!???

  • The plane is worth approx £800.00.You can buy the kit from Austars Models in Australia.

Its not difficult to control at high altitude as its a large model and very stable.

  • nice vid that was really nice to watch
