In order for the economy to get better we need to re industrialize america. That way we can make more jobs for more people. I mean think about it if we have more factories we can make more stuff for people to sell that is made on us soil, which means people will buy US products, which will in turn create jobs. and with the sudden demand for the product made will increase demand for resources, so now they'll be hiring more people to help keep up with demand.

You have to understand that the back bone of america is real estate. It always has been. People lost jobs in the first place because the real estate market crashed. It's the trickle effect. You would first need to understand how Real Estate and the Stock Market plays the biggest part in our economy. So, re-industrializing America is much lower on the totem pole and this won't fix the economy.

@ShawProductions yes that's true. I'm learning about the depression right now and I thought that it might be ok to re industrialize without overproducing like we did last time. We also need to send more exports rather than buying imports sorta like Japan does.

This is not a good idea. I'm sorry, but aside from corruptions. Taxes would be increased to pay for it. Someone would have to pay for it, ie, the working tax payers. More defaulted loans. More govenment bureacracy established.  This is not the way to fix the economy.

Lol sorry, I know this is gonna sound stupid but, you wouldn't buy a house for 50 bucks unless you could afford property tax. To afford property tax you'd need a job, which nearly 10 percent of the American people don't have. So when it comes to selling these tickets, you automatically rule out 10 percent of Americans as part of the drawing.

@nuguns93 Although this is true, there would even be people that could possibly win that wouldn't even be able to pay for their utilities. There have been instances with that show "Extreme Makeover" where because the properties were completely improved thus the property taxes then became re-assessed very high causing those people not to be able to afford their home. But remember, if this plan was put in motion employment would increase. Right now, most people cannot even afford their rent.

This actually is a good idea if it was sound. Like someone else said, "corruption " would probably get its hand on this like everything else, but if it didn't that would be great. Also, someone said that if you got a house for 50 bucks your would quit paying on yours, and that is true, I would do that for sure.

"deficit" is a word the government created to keep our tax dollars in the bank. This means raising taxes to replenish the money being spent, while "keeping" money in the bank.

we never here about not having enough money for "space programs". There is always enought money to build rockets. there is always enough money for governmental office furniture, vacations, and punching in for the required daly 2 minutes. Our government is way way way to big.
