If you had read the regulations about engines in both BTCC and WTCC, you would have discovered that the petrol engines suffer from an incredible amount of limitations : there's at least 20 pages of technical devices banned, even those which exist on stock cars. On the opposite, the diesel engines regulations make up only a couple of lines. It's all written to favour them.
neither did i, but it goves them av ery good advantage... their fuel tanks last for three times as long, so they don't spend so long in the pits refuelling. that and the chance of generic engine damage occurring is reduced because the engines are made of steel

Eh you'd think that but the petrol engines are soo perfectly tuned its mad. diesel couldnt make anything better
