I have been watching poetry slamming videos for a class, and at first I was a little frustrated that all I saw was black people talking about the hood and such. But after a few videos, I realized that there is something to that. Not everyone, like you said, falls into the stereotypes that those people earn. Thank you for helping me realize that. This is a great poem and performance. I admire your wisdom, and your passion.
