the bottom line is subarus are way too fast to learn in and non race drivers will go no where near the limit of that car, thats why you rarely see one being pushed at a track day unless the driver has worked his/her way up through slow cars. i started in a shitty rover metro then megan coupe 1.6 and now a bmw 325 which im getting used to pushing round knockhill / cadwell. i know this car is much slower in every way to any subaru but i sail past them all day long xcept one guy (x formula ford)!

im 37 you dick head,i had a dc2 teg about 8yr ago, prezza's looked good,i blew one up after messing with the turbo (m239tdb), the next one (s555tmy) a sti pro drive always over heating problems and the last one i had (ey51 ngg) a wrx uk300 pro drive was hit by a lorry while it was parked and i didnt want it back anyway.go to the scooby owners uk club and check out my cars on there mate, used to be a member but not now i have seen the light and got a proper reliable performance car. cheers

I have owned a renault clio 182 and it stuck to the road like shit on a blanket but now I have a 05 WRX so I know what both are capable of. If it were raining the Renault wouldnt stand a chance!

it's a MKI Clio probably a Williams one and it's turbocharged...you can clearly hear the hissing of the turbo...so both cars should probably have the same power but the Clio is way lighter than the Subaru...

Well - this video proves that the drivers of the Renault and Subaru should have the opposite cars. In that case, the better driver would have had the acceleration/handling to pass whenever he wanted to. Says nothing about the cars - they can't be compared at all. The clio probably had a better weight to power ratio than the scoob! A guy I know in Aberdeenshire has a classic mini with a 2l vauxhall engine and that can beat scoobys and evos due to its sheer lightness and size!! That scooby looked totally standard!
