  • @sandixbabo could be anywhere from 100 to a thousand. It depends on how much you want to put into your headshot

  • The headshot was freaking me out abit xD

  • expert village needs to pick better people.

  • Is that her in the photo?!?!?!

  • "...To prepare for your acting audition."

    Awkward pause.

  • Can you still use a headshot even though my hair in the picture is way longer than it is now?

  • @michellez101 You can. Hair is very changeable. It'll grow back. Try to use a more recent photo if are able.

  • My headshot was done without retouching or pro makeup - could not have been more pleased. The 1st shot was fine. Pick the right photog.

  • I invite you to check out the Audition Game Plan free webinar at PerformerWebinars (on the web). It will give you new insight and a plan for success.

  • @iSHAKEmyLITTLEpenis what the fuck?

  • Worst public speaker...... EVER!

  • Oh my GOD... is this a joke? Expert Village... your videos are crap. There's no "tips" in this video anywhere! It's just... hey, I'm a casting director... here's a headshot with a name on it. WOW! Thanks for the great "tip"! Expert Village.... you suck.

  • @sethhendrix Can you give me some real tips??

  • for headshots, you can go to LA CASTING

    and look under "photographers"

    do your homework!

    ask other actors!

    and choose one thats

    best for you!!

    (i recommond Nancy Jo)

  • I live in LA and this year im going to presue acting i just dont know were to get headshots

  • Long Drawn out shots leave for awkward moments. I LOVE IT!!

  • She actually help's, i'm 13 ok and i want to become an actor, a Major actor like Shia Labeouf and i will do anything it takes, ect. Moving to Los Angeles (When i'm 17) But right now at school should i go to Drama class?

  • It would be good to get some training now so in 4 years when you want to start to pursue acting, then you're prepared. You never now, even in a year from now you could be casted for something because talent scouts often go out to acting schools and such to look for people for parts

  • I agree with a lot of these comments ... the headshot isn't that fantastic!

  • LOL TZIMASJ!!!! LOVE ME SOME FPS DOUG!!!! All good info, thanks Expert Villlage!! xo

  • just go to a professional Photo shoot and ask for headshots

  • do you know where to get one of those photos

  • Where can you get cool head shots like the one in the vid?

    PLS REPLY... o.O

And I don't know about the rest on this page but I need to say it...

    BOOM HEADSHOT!

    :D

  • the v-neck shirt draws attention away from her face.

she has too much make-up. it's very unnatural

you really are not supposed to wear black. that's more for modeling.

the headshot is not centered right.

i can go on and on...

  • please say you're joking...i can point out so many things wrong about this :S

    eek.

  • The reason you should have your name n the image is incase (god forbid) your headshot and resume get seperated - it makes it easier for them to rematch. Also, when you get your headshot done, most studios can put the name on the photo for you (in regards to the question below). Remember to keep it updated - if you cut your hair or dye it, then go get new shots done BEFORE sending your resume off.

  • she spent all that time showing us this crap wow im about to hyer a private coach to help me act

  • what the eff? They spent a minute telling us two things???

  • yey that is what i hate about expertvillages videos the should just make it one big 6

minite video than telling us 2 things in one 1 minute video

  • Haha...I got a headshot today....but i forgot to tweeze my eyebrows...oh my goodness...you should have seen it

  • so your resume is your headshot and on the backside your personal information and experience.. but do you make these things on your own on your computer or do you let someone else make them?

  • how do you get your name printed on these things?

  • I dont think you need to have your name printed...your resume is going to be attached to the back of the headshot

  • hi thanks this really helped im auditioning for camprock this summer

  • how cool!

    are u really?

    where at?

  • Hahahaahahha, omg, NO YOUR NOT.

  • me to!

  • haha that was akward..

  • .....long pause....speak.....long pause...

    lol

  • where are the audition tips??

  • This isnt advice, this is common sense

  • lol so true! um okay i have a question, i am going to be going in for an audition this summer for acting SCHOOL, on their website it says they will provide us with headshots for after we graduate but do i need to take headshots to the audition? im thinking no but lol you never know..

  • Coming from someone who has experience in modeling and acting. My best advice is yes, I doubt you will need it. But as the saying goes: you can never be too prepared!

Anything will do, basically as long as it looks decent enough so when they are reviewing the applicants they can remember what you look like based on the headshot you provided.

    Hope that helps

  • this womans a dud, her videos aint helping me at all, shes telling me everything I already know and she wasted so much time on zooming in on that chicks head shot.

  • well, can you tell me what kind of paper ?

and can we staple it ?

if yes, how can i staple it ?

  • glossy, picture-like, 8x10, yes, you may, 1 staple in each corner but not in the way of anything important

  • Um do you have to wear make up cuz my face looks good without it I never wear make up cuz I have enough selfasteme and I know I have a beutifull face I also think everyone else has a beutifull face and doesnt need it but if it makes them feel better about thier selfs I say go for it.

  • ...okay thanks for blowing your own horn but anyways, even if you are doing stage acting where no one can really get a good close up view of your face, you WILL need to wear makeup, boy or girl whatever. It doesnt need to make you look different but it will usually just tone all your skin to one color and emphasize your eyes. Sad truth but your just gonna have to suck it up and let your mom draw on your face =P

  • What if you have acne? Will they work with you?

  • yes i'm not being mean and I don't work or know thier buisness but Jsica Simpson had acne and if you do you can sell your face to a product and make money and it is easy to treat so that shouldnt be a problem.

  • first of all your headshot should be done by a photographer. they will automatically photoshop your pic to have the best skin possible. so don't worry about it. if you're in a movie they photoshop the movie too.

  • you really dont want your photo touched up in photoshop too much...maybe just to add some lighting because otherwise if they accept you and you attend the audition and you look nothing like your photo....they will be like "who the hell are you?!" so umm...yeah

  • what about make up on a guy?

on a whim i asked a salon near the photographer to wax my eyebrows right quick, i came out looking like cindy crawford. and my only criteria was before she did it, was to make sure i still looked manly. god i was pissed.

  • haha thats not fair =[ she obviously didnt get what you meant...hmmm if you ever get it done again maybe you might have to take a photo with you of what you want them to be like to explain it to her? I've had the same problem when I go and get mine done, they dont always do what I want and often think that their way is better =[

  • what was horrible was she kept going on how WOMEN would die for eyebrows like mine. i kept thinking ... i'm not a woman.

this makes me feel like, the only people that could make a man sexy is a gay guy. i should ask one my gay friends.

    i got the photos back.

    ho

    ri

    ble

i think the girl was interested in something more than headshots. will my luck ever change. again i think i need guys to do this for me.

  • haha XD i think it will be good to get one of your gay friends to help you =] there are loads of videos on youtube about eyebrow shaping. Maybe investing in a kit would be a good idea and get one of your gay friends who has some experience to do them for you =] oh and a good tip... after you've plucked your brows, rub a little vaseline on them just so they wont feel sore and become really red.

  • like every other gay guy i meet is a "cosmo" so i guess they'll know.

  • Yeah you dont want to go all dressed up either. You want your headshot to expressed the "real" you. So you wear what you would wear on a regular day...and also...no covering up birthmarks

  • Soooo great....and the prod. value of your clips is sooo much better than mine...but we both have the same message...kudos...you rock!!

  • LOL....."experts"....

  • lol ...mollie milligan

  • very helpful
