Very pro band ! Respect for doing the trickier live version at the end. It's totally obvious that the sound issue is due to the camera being overwhelmed. The singer smokes, and she looks fantastic !!
I have also seen MF big show and small show, actually met the band a few times, it's hard to tell how good this band and the girl really because quality is bad, just funny that there is very loud crowd noise edited into the video at the beginning.....

When you're use to hearing sounds from the original 70's funk bands, it can be difficult to come close to the real sound and vocal singing of bands like Mother Finest or Rufus & Chaka Kahn, unless your vocal sounds are similar to the original singer. And unfortunately, this singer didn't nail it. She would be better off singing songs from Heart.
A noble effort, but way too white and way too fast. A song like that has to happen. It shouldn't be forced out. "Baby Jean" would be impressed with the vocals. The fact that this group has this song in their set list DOES give me an idea of their musical influences when they were kids, though. At least they chose good material to cover.

This is a fine version, compared to what I have heard by MF itself.
