  • I found some swim beach sand. It's a whole lot better. Thanks.

  • very very nice. i think its beautiful just the way it is. Love the trees. i did it too but really love yours.Great job.

  • I just saw you wrote that you rarely need water changes I think you sohuld make 1 a week

  • Looks like floating plants dancing :) Awesome setup!

  • Love the tree. I'm trying to do the same at home. How long did it take to grow?

  • I love it. different but very beautiful. well done

  • what are those bushy plants on the bottom of the tank?

  • I dug up some river sand and it makes the water brown. How long until it will settle? Or will it even settle? Also how long after I set up the aquarium until I need to add plants?

  • @jaredultimatum Gotta watch river sand from a local source. Some of it is badly polluted and full of bacteria and parasites. Since it's been a month if it's still cloudy you might as well get rid of it. Put in a 1" layer of 100% natural clay cat litter and then 1" of sandbox sand from the hardware store. Plant it while you're setting it up. Put a saucer on the sand and slowly direct the fill water onto it and it'll go a long way toward keeping the water from getting cloudy.

  • that is beautiful , thanks my friend for sharing with us !

  • i just got my 40 gallons too set up

  • Very impressive tank, you did a great job man!

  • Truly amazing!!! I just have a simple 10 gallon tank with 2 platy fish (with 3 babies), 4 peaceful female guppies, and 1 flying fox fish, but little by little I want to add simple plants you gain experience until I can do something as awsome as what you did. You have ARTISTIC skill with your tank, enjoy your tank!!! I know you fish are defintely! :)

  • there some very nice bonsai trees

  • What kind Of floating plants do You have?

  • @Francheska7778 Those would be salvinia minima. They grow like crazy.

  • Very nice man, don't lose the tree it looks cool

  • Amazing Tank Dude......!!!

  • dude this tank is sick man. awsome scape! check my planted tank out.

  • I love this tank what kind of wood is that?

  • Thank you everyone. The trees are small natural bonsais that I found in the desserts of California with java and peacock moss growing in them.

  • nice set up

  • very nice man =)

  • Great tank. How did you make the "trees" look so good? ANd how do you make that?

  • wow!!! i never thought it's possible for a planted tank to be as beautiful as this. mind-blowing

  • wow... Beautiful tank!

What are the little trees called?

  • the Underwater trees are amazing!

  • That"s awesome!

  • @EmoRylee366 Thanks!

  • kl tank. can you use just plant fertilisers to care for plants without a diy co2

  • @don83030 CO2 helps give the plants a boost and wards off algae when the lighting is high - I have around 200w of lighting above a 40 gallon tank which is pretty overkill. If you have lower light plants and lower light, CO2 isn't necessary. To be honest I'm not so sure I need it in my tank - I could probably dose it with a carbon supplement like Flourish's Excel instead. Might have slower growth but it would still work.

    Hope I've helped!
