  • Tashi Tendrel Rinpoche

May we never be seperated from the perfect Guru.

While Mingyur Rinpoche and Tsoknyi Rinpoche were being honored at Ribung Monastery in LHO Nepal last Noovember we witnesssed a most auspicious and moving sunset over Mt Manaslu at Pema Choling Gompa in Samagaun - the birthplace of Mingyur and Tsoknyi Rinpoche. The power of their Buddha activity is undeniable. Mingyur Rinpoche will see fewer people in the next three years but is benefitting the entire world.

    Emaho!

  • tashi delek rinpoche my devotion to you for your practice for all sentient beings with you strong belief in your practice in this modern world of today.

  • "Not liked to take (what was) prepared. We all know he is going to go retreat. But we didn’t know he will go like that way. My mother is sad, because she loves him very much, as a lama also. So she is worried that she might die before he comes. Even though she dies, he might not here. So I say, Mingyur Rinpoche will be here, and you will not die. Now she is ok. That’s what I knew."

  • "one letter is already in the web, this letter is not translated yet. So I want to share with you that. Please pray for him. I am not worried about his ……(?). In his letter he said he is not tired of teaching, he is not giving up the work, but he wants to practice. And he is not having a middle-age life crisis. And nobody knows where he is. So I hope he is ok with health. I am little worried about money, he didn’t take any money, so he is going to beg, and like to do it day by day..."

  • "Situ Rinpoche, he was very worried for a while. Situ Rinpoche immediately called the monk with Letter, and he went to Situ Rinpoche’s Monastery. Situ Rinpoche saw the letter, and finally Situ Rinpoche was a little calm down, it is ok.

In his letter what was his message is, practice is the most important. Among the practice, calming the mind, meditation is most important. I want to do that, and I want you to do that. He gave this letter to his monks. There are two letters..."

  • "He saw on his seat there is a long scarf and one letter, and he opened the letter, it said, ”I want to go to wandering yogi, style of Milarepa, inspired by Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche. So he will wander for 3 years. And he just took off without anything, just what he has. He didn’t take money, he didn’t take tooth brush, tooth paste, nothing. He just went like that. So we don’t know where he is. And then the news went to my mother, my mother cried for 7 days. The news went to one of his Lamas..."

  • "... I will stay in my room, and I will eat only once a day. Bring lunch to me.” And he has one old attendant, about 70, 65 some kind of, always go together, and then he usually goes with food around noon. He opened door a little bit, and he goes in. He did like this for five days. The fifth day, they were waiting the door opening, but no sign. They waited until one o’clock, nothing, no sign, no noise, nothing. Then the old monk opened, no Mingyur Rinpoche in the room. All monk almost fainted..."

  • "So he made everything prepared. He used to tell me he liked to do a retreat, sometimes going to mountains, holy places, he said. I thought of course, you can go, no problem, I am happy. And then about 15 days ago, maybe one month ago, he went to Bodhigaya, and he gave teaching to the Bodhigaya monks. Then every day he went to the Bodhigaya temple offer Buddha, supplicated, practiced for a while, then came to his house, and he mediated.

The last 5 days, he said, “I am not going to Bodhigaya."

  • I tried to do the transcript for Riverdwell and other who needs it. "Rinpoche asked me to speak little bit. I think many of you know, you heard now about Mingyur Rinpoche. He really wanted to do retreat for many years. He planned for he is not abandoned his activity without responsibility. He planned, he kept 4, 5 years instruction, even he recorded this year, next year, the year after. He trained instructors, and he fund-raised nuns and monks. And he distributed all his works to the Khenpo."

  • I am very happy for him, and I feel this is very good news. I pray that his health stays well. May he meet only obstacles he can overcome. May he be safe and return enlightened. Brendan, student of Sogyal Rinpoche.

  • He may go and stay in caves high on the mountains...far away from the crowded cities and villages...like all the great Yogis in the past who have fully renounced the mundane life pursuit. Especially for Mingyur Rinpoche, who has so many students, what he does may be a way to show his students how a practitioner can be committed to Dharma practice. Let us pray for his prosperity and devote ourselves to follow all the great yogis.

  • I flagged this as violating my rights as a deaf person to have this video closed-captioned.

  • Hooray!!! A real tulku!

  • not trying to be dubious, but just curious how he's going to survive, cause if he begs, in towns & villages in India he is proably going to be identified which I guess is wt he wants to avoid. Unless he is moving north to the himalayas in very remote villages which then is really worrying.

  • After a couple of days of living in the streets, it will be unlikely that he'd be recognized. He must have planned for it . His decision is heroic and VERY daring. Yet, is not entirely uncommon for someone who grew in a privileged environment to question their ability to "survive" and grow in the outside world, alone without resources. Buddha did it, and so did Milarepa. But...the world was different back then.

Rinpoche is a brave and daring young man, and he will reach his goal. Lets pray

  • If he feels that he needs to make a great effort, to dispell the impediments and illusions, to become a great yogi, so be it. Long life to Mingyur Rinpoche! Great joy to all his followers! This is a heroic way of the bodhisattva! Let us dance and chant for him, that he may win through to his goal!

  • May all be auspicious for you Mingyur Rinpoche!
