I have served as a RN case manager for patients refusing blood transfusions. To date, over 600, most of whom were not Jehovah's Witnesses. Not one has died, even with one count as low as hgb 2.5. More impressive, these patients have fewer complications and are being discharged sooner that those who are getting blood.
Yet, we still see a 50% death rate when 10 units of blood or more are transfused.
perfect! thank you so much :-)

I haven't found any research (in PubMed) supporting your claims. Can you provide any?

This undoubtedly is the future of medicine.
