Sorry!..Im getting tired when I hear exuses after exuses like these...So what? Really so what..Every country has its own laws...Mexico for example will detain illegals from their southern borders. Reports about Killings,rapes,drugs,gangs,mug­ings.etc. But people that are here complain about how bad we in america treat them...Get real. Being illegal allows the bad apples to commit all these crimes..Cause you know why? Cause they have no choice but to commit crime.What do they have to lose.Nothing.

@warrior0818 actually, California was originally colonized by Spain and later won by Mexico during their fight for independence. It was then conceded to the USA during a later treaty.

The country has only so much money. Every illegal that comes in needs money to eat, and survive. Money that would be in someone elses pocket is not in his. This brings down the quality of life little by little for everyone. there is millions and it costs atleast 20,000 just to survive for a year here. That is alot of money that is not longer there for our people

@meronmotors what you need to take into concideration with your statement is that they are not just coming here and living off of other people's income..they come here to work, which provides more income to the U.S...ofcourse they're are people that dont work and get government assistance, but the majority of those people are U.S citizens.

@warrior0818 i do have an interview with an economics professor and he states the same thing about undocumented individuals and their paying taxes. Many actually pay income tax, which I had no idea about - his interview will be in the final film.

I am a 4th generation Mexican American. First generation hispanics usually come here with good intentions and are not subject to criminal activity, but for some reason their children become criminals. I was a prison gaurd for 5 years and the majority of prison populations is hispanic and most are all citizens. Honestly I have mixed feelings towards undocumented immigrants. I understand people have to survive legitimately some how but the problems with their children need to stop!

Here's the problem w/ this woman's series of anecdotal observations - FACTS: The U.S. issues more permanent residency cards to Mexican nationals, annually, than people from any other country. Further, the U.S. takes in more immigrants each year than any other 10 nations, combined.

@bigj4lj The statement that the USA was founded by illegal immigrants is not correct. The natives who lived in North America when the Europeans arrived didnt have immigration laws. Now you can say that they didnt want the Europeans here but it wasnt a case of illegal immigration.

Every soveriegn nation has the right to determine how many immigrants it will allow in its nation. Mexico even has immigration laws and prosecutes those who illegalally enter their country.

Bla, bla, the ultimate cause of migration from Mexico, El Salvador, etc to USA is their very fast growth of population.

Mexico had 28 m habitants in 1950. Now has aprox. 110 m, plus some other 70 m that came to USA. Yes, from 28 m to 178 m in 60 years.

Right now, hundreds of millions of people in many poor countries want to come to USA. Yes, up to now it has been a children's game compared to what is coming.

It took my dad 7yrs to enter the U.S legally from Fiji he had to have a employable skill and money to support himself for 9 months and a minimum education of high school or vocational certification that is recognized and transferrable to the U.S system this lady is correct acquirung a visa is know easy task and you have to have family members or a sponsor to take you in U.S immigration will verify all info before entry into the U.S.

I also want to say that I'm not, in any way, saying that all of the people coming here legally are corrupted cartel. I want to make that clear. What I'm saying is that, the cartel have no problem with having a bank account and they have areas of their government corrupted already and can probably get a visa without waiting in line at the consulate.

Her account is very well spoken and shows a very well needed insite. From what I've gathered, both by going on these forums, tv, for what that's worth and talking with some Mexican immigrants, the center of the problem seems to be with the drug cartel and the corruption that it unleashes on Mexico and now America too. Her account on getting a visa makes me aware that corrupted cartel will gain a visa more easily than anyone else and are more likely to be here legally. more coming.

Oh how they play the victim. How did she get here? Gee listen to her talk about how entitled she feels "her" people should be. We don't owe then anything, they've ruined enough towns & neighborhoods. They can fix their own country, Mexico is not a poor country it is just a very corrupt country & it is the Mexicans themselves that have corrupted it. So keep your people & if you never get a visa that is fine with most of us. Stay in Mexico & fix that country so you won't want to leave.

A couple of things though:

1) Claudia is here legally. She is a legal resident. The example she gave of waiting at the American Consulate is from her personal experience.

2) There isn't one race or nationality that ruins a town or neighborhood (statistically) - it's criminal behavior. Growing up in a poor predominately white neighborhood, there was plenty of crime ruining our town (i.e. the meth lab next door run by two white guys).

@handrawnpictures What you're not taking into account is that the illegals, mostly from Mexico, have done more than damage just neighborhoods, they've destroyed whole towns. In Los Angeles at least half of the towns are one continues barrio. Miles & miles of it. MANY parts of LA are worse than Tiajuana. Bakersfield & Fresno it's the same. I don't know where you live, but much of Calif is now a toilet because of this invasion from Mexico & these invaders feel entitled to do what ever they want.

@instantword i agree that there are towns that are in bad shape, but its not JUST because they are illegal or Mexican, it is the CRIMINAL elements that come here (or were here) to do harm. There is a difference between intent - still illegal, but the outcome is different.

I live in SoCal (its not a toilet) & have been in some bad neighborhoods in LA & OC. But, again, it's not just illegals, its from all races & nationalities.

@instantword You're right about them being a corrupted country but wrong about them doing it all by themselves. Our country has done it's fair share of feeding the corruption. The drug cartels send us drugs and people, while we send them guns and money. What do we owe them? If nothing else, we owe it to them to stop feeding the corruption that's already ruined their country. That would only be a start in my opinion.
