50th anniversary burgundy with exhaust & C5 Z06 rims....automatic or not I'm driving this thing to work everyday....and here in Queens N.Y.C. automatic in our traffic doesn't seem like such a bad thing after all especially if you drive a tractor-trailer all day.

Its not the Corsa that causing the motor boat idle, its the stock h-pipe, get an x-pipe and that will solve the idle. Every c5 vette or z06 will have that motor boat idle unless you get an x-pipe.

this sounds like the corsas indy mufflers , youll hear it hardly at all cruising , the first corsas vette mufllers well ony get about as loud as the indy mufflers ideling and the second one about half of the indy muffler sound

I run stock Z06 Ti exhaust and think they sound pretty mild overall, they rip at WOT. I'm planning on getting headers so the sound will open up considerably. I want a set of Borla Stingers in the meantime...If Corsas didn't sound so bad at idle, I'd definitely be sold, I just can't get past it.

If you must know moonknight, its because when it comes to drag racing, the auto is king. All other racing, the stick is god, but auto's are all around better for drag racing. That and autos are much easier to come by and typically cheaper

it depends on the driver really. a good driver that knows how to shift will beat any automatic version of the same car. but not everybody knows how to drive, you know lol.

depends, at track racing autos kill it cuz if your making obscene amount of horsepower you wont be able to shift it perfectly, all high end dragsters use custom built autos, but then again for us street guys its all about the stick :)

@Camaros5678 absolutley, you mean a tiptronic paddleshifter right? the ones with teh paddles on the steering wheels, it also depends if its an automatic or dual clutch which are better.

Well your mom's car sounds pretty cool. I got the same exhaust on my C5, which is also an automatic just because I lucked into a good deal back when I got it. I'm waiting for the day when Corvettes get some form of DSG and can beat auto and manual transmissions.
