  • @305tanisha Maybe you forgot that the one brick of Na represents 3 Na ions and the 1 brick of K represents 2 K ions. That way, the one brick of Na is more positive than the one brick of K. Right?

  • @305tanisha The action potential depolarizes the muscle membrane and action potential flows through the center of the muscle fiber causing large amounts of Ca++ to be released from the sarcoplasmic reticulum. After a fraction of a second, Ca++ are pumped back into sarcoplasmic reticulum and contraction ceases until another threshold for action potential is reached and the process is repeated.
