  • did u know that u could rip the turtles penis

  • How close are you to Michigan?

  • Id hate to get bit by one. We got plenty here in Southern Indiana. I catch em in the creek sometimes when im trying to catch catfish.

  • you're a brave kid, I live in indy and hike a lot in areas like this. I hardly ever see any snappers or snakes but when I do I run the other way

  • Turtle: Leave me alone!

  • snapping turtles are awsome

  • You need to come down here to SE Missouri. Were about the same age and we can go wrangle us up an Alligator Snapping Turtle. There is a big one that lives in the pond by my neighbor house.

  • Stick your finger in his face and see what happens

  • well done on this, keep up the good work.

i try to do as much as possible aswell.

mainly dangerous snakes and big pythons and boas.

    well done

  • Great footage, he's awesome looking

  • those are the things i fear the most when im walking threw the creeks.

  • Thumbs down for stressing it out. Once would have been enough to know it didn't want to be picked up. But thanks for showing the habitat.

  • Sorry, don't mean to sound to critical, just looked like it had had enough, good herping videos though, great to see all those herps in Indiana.thanks

  • wat was that at 00:16?

  • Are you talking about what was in the water? That was a leaf man.

  • hey where in the US is this, im in california and i never see anything that cool. the coolest thing i ever see is a rough skinned newt.

  • Indiana

  • @reptilewranglers no he means right after that on the right side of the screen something like hops or jumps or something....at the edge of the water, and its to your left in the video

  • @reptilewranglers No look in the water its as if something poped up for air

(middle far right its 5sec b4 or after the leaf

  • I think it's another turtle because you see it's head pop out at 1:18

  • We got a lot of sappers around my way, one summer me and my friend found a huge one in a creek and my friend kept it in his backyard but it escaped that night. lol

  • thats very small, not fully grown yet, the average at my lake is 16 inches whut r the average that u catch?

  • No average, I have seen snappers from silver-dollar size to massive adults (a lot bigger than the one in the video). I don't see a certain size more often than another.

  • I like your stuff. Nice to see people enjoying nature.

  • what can it find for eating in that little pond?

  • Its actually a sandy creek that flows for about a mile. There are small frogs, fish, small snakes, the list goes on and on. Sorry the video doesn't show very much habitat.

  • thx for reply :) i din't know that its something fluent... you have a really nice landscape and conditions for herps in your state i would like to have this too just go outside look around a little time and find a snake or something else. in my area live only 2-3 snake species and they're very rare :(

maybe i come to the us next year and maybe i can meet you to herp a little bit if you like...

  • Snappers rock. Nice video.

  • Nice find Jake, love those snappers. Cool to find one in shallow water like that.

  • Well actually right behind the camera is where I nabbed him. The water was 1-2 feet deep. Enough for him to stay submerged.

  • cool! we don't have those around here. if we did , i might not swim in some of the places i do! he wanted your fingers for lunch!

  • They aren't agressive in the water but when you drag them up on shore they aren't happy campers. Where do you live?

  • it sure was a big snapping turtle. very angry too

  • nice find man. snappers are one of the coolest types of turtles.

  • i coaght a baby one at the creek by my house

  • WOW! That is one very large, angry turtle. I'm not a huge turtle fan, but snappers are definitely a favorite of mine as far as turtles go. Awesome find!

  • nice!
