I always think of that legendary Pancrase fight where Frank is going for a foot lock and Bas is feeding him nasty palms to his face; and each time Frank gets hit he makes some hilarious facial expression. Nothing more entertaining than these legends. Frank is definitely one of my all time favorite guys to watch. In the old days he was one of the most skilled IMHO. Certainly had some of the best conditioning ever.

Typically they place these top grade fighters against an up and coming nobody who essentially get steam rolled, or its a 15 minute snore fest. There are much more entertaining fights in SF. @dinneryeti To me watching the highest level of skill is entertaining. I like several SF fighters (Diaz, Fedor, Roger Gracie, Jacaré, Mousasi etc..) but most of the top guys are in the UFC and thats an undisputed fact. Half the SF champs say they want to fight in the UFC some day. If you like sloppy brawls and mis matches that end quick i can see how you like SF. If you can appreciate the more technical side of MMA then then u should watch the UFC (or watch both like i do).

Cung Le is said to star in a new movie called "dragon eyes". To be honest, the movie will most likely flop. Cung is an awesome fighter, but he lacks the looks and charisma to play the lead in a movie. And frankly (no pun intended), america has not accepted the idea of an asian lead in hollywood movies. The only asian actor who have ever succeeded in leading a hollywood movie was non other than Bruce Lee.  That was one movie and Bruce didn't even live to see it.

Scott Smith really is a solid B-level fighter, nothing more and that's how he'll be remembered as forever. His competition against other B-level fighters aren't so impressive. Cung Le also stated that his biggest interest is taking care of his family, so he doesn't care if he doesn't get to fight better competition or not. He just wants to make more money for his family.

Slam after slam after slam, some of them absolutely beautiful suplexes. The next year, I started watching the UFC and PRIDE, and I always wondered why Cung didn't go to the UFC or PRIDE.

Cung has aged very well, but he has aged. I just wish he'd get on the big stage and show more people what he's about before he's too old.
