I just started on this mission and what I've done before the bridge went up is to use the Calliope to clear out most of that center square, little resistance after it, repaired bridge, didn't capture the center area yet, but going around capturing resources before I captured the center. I gained the bombing run special ability then used it to take out the spawning of tanks, then work on the rockets. Remember to save mission before you capture the center.

Well explain where you are having trouble? Hey if its resource issues than just let the resources gather up before you repair the bridge.
