I am...insanely flattered about that last pic of me there...*blush* I will be doing Alucard for Animazement next year as well as for the next Animanias held here in Cary. I hope to win someday, but, until then, you know - I do it for the fun!

It was a rally nice costume. the only reason you didnt win is probably because the other lady made her costume from scratch

seems like that is the determining factor ina lot of cosplay contests these days...it used to be about how accurate your costume was to the character, but now it seems like if you make it from scratch - automatic win!

But hey - I give props to anyone who can actually make the costumes like that from scratch! it was really cool! ^_^

A buddy of mine said he won the cosplay at anime mid atlandtic in richmond in 1998 he went as Conan from case closed. i say he deserved it. he gelled up his hair so it looked just like him. the weird thing is , i dont know how he saw an anime that wasnt even available in america yet.
