In America, the Liteace and Hiace were simply called the "Toyota Passenger Van" and "Toyota Cargo Van". This is much like how the Hilux was simply called the "Toyota Pickup" until the 1995 Toyota Tacoma.
I still see a few Toyota Vans every now and then. Its successor, the "eggvan" Previa (aka Tarago/Estima), is stil plentiful on American roads.
