this really makes me sick; this is a fucking movie! People read into everything these days and can't just appriciate a good movie when they see it. Cruise is by no mean the greatest actor in the world, but he did a pretty damn good job at the Valkyrie. Politics, social conflicts and movies should never interfere with the creativity of movies; these elements should only be used to inspire.

The hipocrisy of Cruise is apalling. How can he, a member of a group that doesn't tolerate dissent within their ranks, that's been organized in a quasi military fashion and persecutes their percieved enemies, dare to do this role?
Then again, Cruise is a fundy, and he may not percieve the grim irony of the situation. IN his own mind, he is the good guy.

Tom Cruise made this movie with his production company for a reason. That reason is blatantly obvious for anyone that cares to look.
I wonder if this propaganda piece will help or hurt the cult in Germany? Fingers crossed that it bombs.
Def boycotting it myself. May stick some nice post-it-notes on the movie posters when I go to town tomorrow.

Wasn't this problem discussed before the movie was finished? I've always believed that an artist's work should not be judged by the artist's private life or personality. Still, I see that this is a tricky one.
