  • Was this the first stoner movie?

  • I Love this Movie seen it so many times back home I just love it & the music is Awesome

  • I love this movie! Jack Nicholson is sexy. ♥

  • What's the song at 1:23?? :O

  • @sebbeas123 the weight by the band. also check out "the night they drove ol' dixy down"

  • @sank1005 Thanks! :)

  • I watched this last night, I was very sad at the end : ( Fucking red necks I want to make a bit of cash, fly to America and just ride a bike where I feel like....I love libertarianism and that concept would suit the US so much, its a huge country and there is no reason why people can't do what they feel like, let the city people look after the economy, Washington etc, I won't give a shit cuz I'll be on my bike in the middle of nowhere.

  • @Shaftsus agreed

  • ....we blew it....we really freakin' blew it...

  • Man shit ain't changed much in 40 yrs

  • I just read about a sequel to this amazing film... My generation is full of people that are really good at fucking up music, movies, books and everything else

  • Rest in Peace Denis Hopper! Great film, I could see the influence of in another film called puncture. Excellent film on its own.

    bitly . com / sj kB 5Y

  • 72' I was 19 and i bought Motorcycle,Then i drove trought the america.

  • A mega classic !! ☮

  • I have loved this movie since I was 6 years old and now that im older and I understand it I love it even more

  • Oneof my all time fav movies.Watched it again for the first time in years last week (must have seen it at least 20 times). The hillbillys in the cafe who give them shitALWAYSimpress me, just how real they seem. They don't seem to be acting, they seem they real deal. But the scene where Hopper says 'we did it man', & fonda says 'nah man, we blew it'ALWAYS gets me. I know Jack got killed, but what he mean by that?Always kinda brings me down that scene (cause its like your on the journey with them)

  • @heronmusic2000 by saying "we blew it" he means their journey was a spiritual failure

  • Liquid Acid is SICK!!!

  • @KKKnigrh8r Hmm, are sure that you're writing to me? God is real, and I'm not gonna let you start the flame war, bye!

  • Tiene un final muy triste...

    Buena peli.

  • Fonda is America.....Captain America

  • Does anybody know the name of the song at the beginning of the trailer

  • @IArteaga45 The Byrds- I Wasn't Born To Follow

  • @IArteaga45 isn't that a great song? looks like someone else answered ur question, but that's probably my fav song in the entire movie, and that says alot cause every song in this movie was outstanding, and this is one of the best soundtracks of all time

  • Wasn't Jack Nicholson so sexy. (L)

  • @EdwardCullenBabe95

    lol NOOOOO

  • @djcruzify No? LMFAO, You blind bro.

  • Looks Terrific !! Going to download it :D FOR SURE

  • SEARCH YOU TUBE FOR SNITCH YOULL SEE SOME TRUE VIDEOS

  • We're all living in the Matrix but most don't know it.The masters make the rules for the wise men and the fools.Fuck the government.

  • 7 people thought they found america

  • At :27 is that the chain of rocks bridge, route 66 St Louis?

  • This movie was the shit, i love Nicholson speech, talking about freedom and representing it is two different things. and fuck dumb ass rednecks.

  • if you like "easy rider" - you'll also "like" our page. be a "road warrior!" visit our page now. click "like." find link in our profile. thanks, jr

  • Awesome 2the13thpower...

  • My favourite part of the movie is when they're riding the motorcycles.

  • Just finished watching it for the first time. The ending totally took me by surprise, but I completely get the symbolism it presents: That people adhering to the lazy status quo of life and being good little sheeple will never ever be cool with people who simply do their own thing. Especially dumb fucking rednecks. But really, it can apply to just aout any culture in life. Fantastic film.

  • I LIKE IT!!

  • If you don't get this movie then it's time to have your pulse checked you must be dead.I'm with Captain America.Oh and those rigids are so damn hot.

  • I remember the long, long line-ups at the show when this movie first came out, over 40 years ago. It was a must-see, and every kid (incl. myself) HAD to see it.

It is a classic still, after all these years.

  • Free people are a danger to well trained killers at the School of the Amercas, just killers came out of that joint, shame to what freedom was suppossed to be about!

  • ANTEJENN..You nailed it cold. Right on..Well said. Best to you....Thanks

  • boring!!!

  • Great movie.

    A classic.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • America got more self-criticism in the movies during the 60-70, now it's only "God bless america", "We will do our best, general" (salute).

  • @RadekOzzy85

    So true..

  • yeah, yeah "we are the world".

  • I loved this message from the movie: Americans talk a lot about the value of freedom, but are actually afraid of anyone who truly exhibits it.

  • Just get on with one

  • WHATS THE SONG AT BEGINNING

  • What the hell is wrong with freedom? That is what is all about.

  • love that film , the choppers and all america as they showns in the film !!

i did several choppers during the last 37 years. and are strait influenses from the film. thank to share.

  • masterpiece

  • This movie, along with "Network" (1976) are such eye-opening, well-writeen films. I watch this movie over and over and am always blown away by how relevant it still is. I can only imagine how amazing it musy have been to be a "hippy", and walk out of the theater after seeing this. R.I.P Dennis, you changed my life and millions of others

  • great film, one of my favourite.

what is the last song title?

  • @slovik90 ..The song is..Ballad Of Easy Rider by Roger McGuinn.

  • @MotownMoJo64 Thanks :)

  • The best log line ever for a movie was the one on this poster: "The ride across the country that changed America."

  • If you watch it now, it has a lot of technical flaws: dialogue that doesn't make sense (the UFO scene, anyone), Dennis Hopper's overuse of the word "man," etc. However when this movie first came out it was like, "Holy crap, here's a movie about the times produced by two genuine hippies, not some corporate studio heads!"

  • Great movie!

  • I don't know why I HATE this movie. 3 amazing actors, hippies, folk music, seems like i'd totally love it, but I seriously just can't get over how lame it is. Especially the ending. HOW ANTICLIMACTIC THAT ENDING IS! Rednecks shoot them, now their dead, end of story. It's just a bunch of drug addicts, tripping out, feeling like they can't find a home because they're so fucking high, and a bunch of hicks just being hicks.

  • @grayfox622 But that's the whole point of it; there isn't supposed to be a structured plot or purpose because the characters choose not to live by one. It's not intentionally nihilistic, it's just realistic. These people live, they die. The end. No tragedy, no moral to their story. You would observe the life of an animal the same way, but when it comes to human beings, people always have to complicate the meaning of life. This film just shows what it's like when people don't do that.

  • The most unique filming of an LSD trip that I have yet come across

  • Best of Best. Everything is coming back ! Thanks. God !! - Somethimes its taking a lot of time. 40 years. But....best is coming back !! M.

  • Best of Best. Everything is coming back ! Thanks. God !! -

  • I love how this movie started the new hollywood and at the same time predicted how it would end.

  • This movie is so good! I'm surprised it has so many negative comments.

  • hey cj its me richard

  • great movie....

  • The worst movie ever made

  • @nytmstr fuck you then why u watchin the trailer

  • @psychout3211 Why does my free speach violate your communist beliefs?

  • @nytmstr easyrider is a legend

  • @Plaayboarding ROFLMAO!!!!!!

  • @nytmstr what the fuck are laughing you idiot i live in switzerland europe and i'm 16 and i know this movie so do my friends wtf! we wouldn't know this movie if it would be not a legend

  • @nytmstr

Maybe, you should watch the movie again and listen a bit better. You could learn something !

  • @ElectraWillem I watch it every night, nothing bores me to sleep like this movie does!

  • @nytmstr how so? I want to hear more of your intellectual dialogue.

  • when movies were great

  • He said that this used to be a good country, and wonders what happened to it. Might the same question be more relevant today?

  • Man i would love it to live in the 70's the music the people evrything

  • ' Easy Rider '...Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson...my generation is grateful to you !

  • i was watching this by myself because its on the top 100 american movies of all time..and my brother and father just happen to come in for the ending (including that LSD trip) and thought i was a freak for watching it. it was a good movie, but the end, especially the "bad trip" disturbed me. nevertheless, i understand its message and i dont regret watching it.

  • GOD BLESS DENIS HOPPER . LOOKING FORWARDS TO MEETING UP WITH YOU IN THE BIG UPSTAIRS . MAKE SHURE YOU HAVE AN HARLEY WAITING FOR ME. IF YOU HAVE TO NICK GODS HE HAS PLENTY . LOL!!!

  • THIS WAS AND IS THE BEST FILM ERVER MADE. TRIBUTE TO FREEDOM.

  • The most beauty film, i have ever seen, It's as good, as hair, hippies, are freedom, we have to be like, them, LOVE 'N' PEACE

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA... ONLY AMERICANS CAN MAKE MOVIES LIKE THIS PIECE OF ART !!!! I LOVE YOU AMERICANS !!

  • See this movie gets better with age. When it was made it was just another statement to "fight the man, man" but now it really shows what America was and what it became. Roll on, Easy Rider

  • the music present in movie is the great band "the byrds" and her name is "easy rider"

  • I saw Easy Rider when it first came in 1969. My older brother who was 6 ft. 6, my younger brother who was 6 ft. 2 and me, (5 ft. 2) all climbed into the trunk of the car and my older brothers pregnant wife drove us all into the drive-in- theatre. She drove the car to the back of the theatre and we all climbed out to watch one of the most boring movies of the year.

  • Its not shit, its called UTOPIA :)

  • Seriously though, if you think this movie is shit, then you must be either blind, deaf and stupid, or you have never sat down and really 'watched' it at all. This movie was really out there in it's time and it captured the mood of youth during this period. It also had a lot to say about America and it's own internal prejeduces. Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson will be forever remembered for this movie. And the bikes in it spawned a whole generation of chopper builders. Brilliant!

  • @redfxr though the townspeople are annoying, lazy stereotypes

  • @redfxr You have to be old to like this piece of crap! its way to ugly to even watch ew. garbage deff not even close to being top drug movie thats fuking crazy!

  • @JoKeRsObLiViOn420 or you have to be high

  • @redfxr or you werent high

  • it's not about what freedom we don't have....it's about what freedom we do have

  • One of the biggest movies of American History, and honestly it is one of the worst. Pretty much sums up the American Movie industry and the future of America.

  • of course there is freedom. you are free to come and go as you please, live any way you choose, dress as you like. you could get on a bike and ride into the dessert and live off the land and sleep under the stars, but i doubt you could and thats where your freedom went. you have forgotten or neglected to learn simple rules of nature to survive. you wish for freedom but ask where the price tag is. freedom my friend is found when you put down your wallet and go FREE.

  • It's very simple-hippies sux because violence is as beautiful as Mozart's music. End of story.

  • America is really released of that legion of dumbasses who hated the hippies in its time? Is FREEDOM a reality in America today? These not only a nostalgic movie..But hippies, today and unfortunely...are pieces of museums...And they will never came back

  • @seekingnewhorizons No liberty because of credit cards....

  • damn hippy movies.

  • @benfirst do you dislike hippies because YOU dislike hippies, or do you dislike hippies because society says you should? IF so, what about them? Protest is one of the rights we as Americans should take for granted. I like that they protested. I do not, however, like the methods they used. For example, taking over schools so that hard working men, who weren't given everything on a silver platter, couldn't get an education. So, i guess my point is explain why you feel the way you do.

  • did this actually ever happen? FREEDOM

  • @flowforce3 The specific story never did, no. something similar probably occured a fair few times. Not sure why it's relevant though?!

  • jack looks so young.......

  • The Weight fits so perfectly... I need to see this movie!

  • Rest in peace Dennis Hopper! A true Emerican great.

  • @PrisonersofWarEnt He's an American legend too :P. RIP indeed, it's a traversty that they took so long to give him the hollywood star. The only reason why they eventually did was because they knew he was dying and wouldn't be around much longer.. It's a real shame :(

  • ride on

  • one of my favorite movies j.n. is great. Dennis hopper 2.ive only seen it about 12x, and i dont know how many more.. if 6 was 9.

  • Cool!

  • 2010: Yul Brenner types have ceratinaly taken over!

  • really sad and true movie

  • I’m sure by now everyone has heard about James Lee, the homeless Korean-American~* man......he did HIS own thing in HIS own TIME~*

  • Free people are a threat to the status quo (slavery to our corporate masters). If you're free, you don't give a s#!t about what the Joneses are doing and therefore not spending every paycheck (even the ones you haven't received yet) keeping up with them. And you look so happy being free others may become interested in throwing off the shackles and then how will the corporations continue to rake in obscene profits? If you're happy and you look free, beware the Man!

  • @antejenn that makes no sense at all

  • Now everybody DOES look like Yule Brynner.

  • i love how dennis hopper went on to do hellride as his last movie

  • They should have used "Magic carpet ride" on this movie

  • My question is : In the climax, WHY THE F*CK does that **asshole** from the truck kill the riders?!!!

  • "It's really hard to be free when you're bought and sold in the marketplace."

  • Classic Movie! RIP Dennis Hopper.

  • ..you mean marijuana?

  • yew mean merrywannuh?

  • great movie still lives on..and it will live on like no other movie did Easy Rider

  • What you represent to them is FREEDOM!

  • Love and respect, we are all brothers and sisters, we are all connected.

  • I visited Dennis Hopper's grave on a road trip, how ironic, he is truly free now in a grave in taos and beyond without life's critics and men saying how america should be...

  • "You ever wanted to be somebody else? I never wanted to be anybody else?"

  • I run for two hours on my treadmill three times a week with this movie in the DVD player. I can't imagine how many times I have seen it and it is awesome everytime.

  • A real crap movie ! So why do I watch it over 6 over again ...

  • @Hemulen40 I have to disagree with you there, This movie is an instant classic. BUT the Ending was a steaming pile of shit.

  • jack looks so diffrent :O

  • @LordOsa08 yeah...with hair !

  • I love dennis hoper and jack nicholson in this movie but Peter Fonda is a really bad actor and this movie is not good.

  • @Frontboarder101 You missed the point man. You're right...it was not a good movie in the sense of today's "Action Packed !!! " and overdone special effects type films. This movie was a simple...yet poignant...story of an era which was VERY different than the one you currently live in. Open your Eyes and LEARN !!!

  • @nebnis81 Imo everyone should look back to the 80s, 70s, 60s and learn what everything is all about...Who gives a damn about the after 90s culture? Internet? Sure, great tool, but nothing more than a tool. Programming? 3D effects and CG ? Yeah...now days people are used to live in a fake perfect world and miss everything...

  • @ntipouan

How old are you because it sounds like you do not understand any thing.

  • @preston9219 And how old might you be ? It sounds like you did not understand anything from what I posted.

  • @ntipouan old enough to know that every generation thinks the one ahead of it has no merit or cultural value because they dont understand it.

  • @preston9219 True.

  • @nebnis81 where did i say anything about special effects? I am a big fan of movies and i think that for instance the sergio leone and kubrick movies from the 60s are some of the best ever made, but i did not enjoy easy rider at all and peter fonda is a terrible actor.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, rest in peace... but I thought then and I think now that this movie was a real stinkeroo. How is that commune coming along these days? Yeah, right...

  • RIP dude, you had your troubles but heck you lived a better life than most of us

  • The man who Direct the classic movie Easy Rider is gone. Dennis Hopper will be remembered as one of the best Actor-Directors that ever lived. He also did other classics such as Speed, Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet, Super Mario Brothers, & his oscar-nominated role in Hoosiers, & he did tv as well including his last role in Crash: the tv series. Good-bye Mr Hopper and we'll miss you so. Dennis Hopper 1936-2010 : ( ....

  • @yogafan6500 Super Mario Brothers wasnt a classic, Hopper was ashamed of that movie, look it up.

  • Thank you for the memories Dennis.

  • R.I.P. Dennis

  • R.I.P Dennis Hopper

  • R.I.P Dennis Hopper!

  • This was Dennis Hopper's best role, almost a semi auto-biography film with best friends Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson. It's sad that all 3 of them died in the film because they could've film a worthy sequel. RIP Dennis Hopper 1936-2010 (74)
