  • What about this Aurora AK-P7-2 SSC P7 2-Mode 900 Lumen LED Flashlight (1 x 18650) from

    laserpointerworld/com

coupon :HZYSSSAVE10 help me save up to $10, and it only cost me $26.57.

  • i thought u were going to chuck a flashlight down the road

  • Olight SR90 is waaaayyyyy brighter!

  • what would be your personal recommendations for LED lights that are not custom which can throw the farthest? Thanks for the upload...I love watching your reviews!

  • @Esperantisto84 Thrunite V3 XML, its a beast!!! throws almost as good as my aspheric mag.

  • i thought throwing meant literally throwing the flashlight =/ im not impressed D':

  • you should be glad that dog is a pussy and doesn't just sneak up on you and rip your balls out of their sack! dogsare supposed to bark at light shows and lots of other things you dumbass, deal with it. now, back to the real world.. fantastic mods to your maglite we all wish we had one!

  • you should stick a T6 led in it, its 1000 LUMENS!!!

  • @powermaks and it has 4x the surface area.

  • @ilikepie9519 ya, but still. i wonder when cree will come out with a smaller verson

  • Nice beam but no sidespill

  • You should buy the dog off the neighbour and leave it in your yard, then he will have to put up with its barking

  • @kennnmoran1 yeah, nothing is more annoying then a dog barking to oblivion

  • @hugo2x Well, the neighbor is horrible to leave a dog outside. Thats what dogs do, at night they are on high alert because they cannot see.

  • That PD20-flashlight does NOT give 180 lumens. (looks more like 110)

Your MagLite conversion lights up nice though. Looks like 350-400 lumens maybe.

  • I use a 6PX Tactical for airsoft and the 200 lumens goes all the way across the field, almost 100 yards. Is mine special or something

  • can u sell me that light?

  • @pprriimmoopro Sorry, I would sell you it but I can't get anymore maglite heat sinks now that Candlepowerforums is down.

  • how can i buy it from you?

  • @gallopsxt sorry, I would sell you one but I can't get the heat sinks anymore

  • How did you make it, and how do I make or buy one?

  • @mattamiller This is a really common mod, go to Candlepowerforums and search "aspheric maglite" and you can find lots of good information and links on were to get all the stuff.

  • Hey! this is a great build! How did you make it? I've been wanting to make something like this but never knew how to go about it or what I'd need exactly for the project

  • "fartherest"? that's the dumberest thing i've ever heard

  • @blindedby2monkeys lololololololol

  • fantastic Hugo, I could use the crud out of that while spotting gators.

  • @jeepzillajoe The new Thrunite XML Catapult V2 Looks like a crazy powerful throwing light. I think it would be more useful than this bc of good side spill

  • I got the Led Lenser P7, nice lamp with 200 lumens, its a little brighter than the fenix here, but my maglite I upgraded to 700 lumens with Terralux TLE 300-M EX LED module, throws the light about 270-280 yards (200-250 meters), but my best tourch is my Solarforce, 30W halogen, 1200 lumens, throws the light about 750 yards(800 meters)...

  • great test on the LED mate

  • @hugo2x Dereelight make an aspherical for there dbs v3 with sst 50

  • mice job

  • i wander how that would work with my olight m31 triton. 800 lumens focused like that would be awesome

  • @1234567890goddammit wish someone would make an aspherical lens for an sst50, that would be bad ace

  • @hugo2x The DereeLight DBS has an SST-50 pill now, and it fits into the DBS's optional aspheric head.

  • @1234567890goddammit

A R2 LED with a asperical lens will throw better than a SST-50 that the M31 uses, because of the surface brightness.

M31 is a VERY good reflector thrower, but if you will have a asperical on it, it would be a custom build.

  • Does he make a lens for the M3?

  • @alfonso2501 M3?

  • @hugo2x Yes, the surefire M3. That's what I have & would like to know if one is made for it? Thanks.

  • @alfonso2501 This lens was designed for cameras and was discovered to fit in a maglite head. I'm sure if you did your research you could find one that would fit the head. it will not work with incandescent bulbs though

  • @hugo2x Thanks

  • Where did you get the heatsink?

  • @timmytaco4 go to candlepowerforums and search for DHS heatsink, from a guy named h22a out of Thailand I believe.

  • how far does the lens stick out from the top of your maglite??

  • @ThePoliceUT3 about an inch

  • Very cool! Is it also possible to make a Fenix PD20 style light with that throw? Feel free to subscribe, Nax

  • @NaxTactical I have done research and some experimenting with lights of similar size. I've found you can't get much better throw than a regular reflector. So far, large maglite size aspheric lenses are the way to go.

  • @hugo2x Ok, it would be cool though !

  • That thing is monster!!!!! Thats actually pretty cool how much they cost?

  • @JAKENATOR14 everything came in at about $80

  • what would you recommend the best thing for either a 3 cell mag or 4 cell mag upgrade would be , i dont want to change anything but the bulb and maybe the lens but i want to use regular c cell batteries, as long as the upgrade gives me very long throw and no doughnut hole, i would appreciate your help

  • @samstterhamstteer hard to say, the only dropins I would buy come from malkoffdevices. Other than that, you will have to do a build it yourself like I did. If you need help with a build, join candlepowerforums and post your questions. they will bring you to the light.

  • @hugo2x allrght allright..what about a reflector ?would you recommend one that can just get rid of the doughnut hole thats what im really worried about that damn donut hole

  • @samstterhamstteer if you want to go with something in the 600+ lumen range, I would use a SST-50. this will likely eliminate the donut hole caused by the quad core p7 and MC-E's central dark spot. With smaller LEDs like XR-E's and XP-G's its hard to say what will happen. Truthfully you'll have to do a bit of research on Candlepower forums for a good combination.

  • where did u get the lens

  • @gunwiz1 you can get it via DX, not sure about the diameter, maybe 58mm? If you want a more precise information I can send you the direct link to the item

  • led lenser uses the magnafine glass lens.

  • i would like to build my own "monster flash light" since iam not willing to buy a $100 flashlight. How about an "How to" that shows how to build a flashlight like this one on your own ;)

btw strong flashlight, i liked it.

  • With all the parts needed for this mod it comes out to ~$100. You can get the same effect with a Taiblo A9 w/ Collimator head (Aspherical Lens)

  • Not bad but with that size flashlight you can do better its good for battery life with 250 but 500 can be done with a MC-E any plans for upgrade of the led.

  • If I point my 3d led up at the sky, I can see the beam all the way up to the clouds like a searchlight. Awesome flashlight!

  • does your Mag have an Aspheric set up?

  • It's a stock Maglite 3D LED...

  • cool.. most of my maglites suck, bad perfomance and durability.. I had 4-5 of them.. only my twist switch maglites didnt break.. new 3d maglites fail me with in a year or 2... I have owned lots of cheap brands that last longer..

  • well the only maglite left in the flashlight is the aluminum body. everything else I is custom machined and electrically engineered.

  • look like you are right;)

  • Where did you get the lens? I would love to get one for my maglite.
