  • Got nothing against Alabama, but some songs have been done in such a way that they can't possibly be improved on. Karen Carpenter owns this song!!!

  • I love these guys!

  • love there love songs

  • Its better the version of Carpenters

  • There best song ............

  • Alabama rocks to bad they aren't performing anymore I would have to.see them in concert.

  • LOVE THE BAMA BOYS,,, WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE SEEN THEM IN CONCERT,,,AND RANDY,TEDDY,MARK AND JEFF ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST,BEST MUSIC,DANG GOOD LOOKIN''EASY ON THE EYES'''' AND THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST GROUP OF ALL TIME

  • there will never be another band to top these guys. it don't get any better.

  • wow, alabama did ripoff that song from the carpenters, but this song was alright i like carpenter's version better

  • @SoulcaliburSkiller7 alabama didnt rip anyone off.they simply did a cover of it.if it was ripped off you can be sure there woulda been a law suit and royalties paid.that did not happen, witch means they got permission to cover the song.

  • Vevo sucks

  • I like Karen Carpenter's version, its WAY better!

  • The original song was by the Great Carpenters on 1980s..the caroenters get the full credit of making this beautifull song.....

  • @aravindaousl

BOTH the Carpenters and Alabama versions were covers of the song originally done by "Bama"

Both covers are done very well, JMO.

    Check the wiki article.

  • So awesome! What a great ol band! To you Jerrell with all my heart!

  • burn

  • We played this at our wedding in '89!!! We still love this song and are still in love with each other!! What wonderful memories!!

  • @LuvLeeStamper

My family are good friends with Jeff Cook. He played at my uncles wedding.

  • Listened to the original 1979 version from Bama. It is truly the best of the 3 versions.

  • Mr Terry Skinner also has been a successful songwriter writing some pop hits, but mostly country hits for acts such as The Forester Sisters, David Frizzell and Highway 101.

  • this song is from THE CARPENTERS which was made on early 1982.....the carpenters is one of the best musical group..led by Karen carpenter and richard carpenter...

  • @aravindaousl People forget about the Carpenters being the first to releasing the song and also having a big hit with it. Karen Carpenter had one of the most beautiful voices in music history.

  • @BBQFanNo1 yea ....her voice is so touching and so sensitive..she sang from bottom of her heart to feel the meaning of the song to her listeners very sensitively. i mean she was succeeded in that attemt..if it wasn't that bad deasease..she would have still alive today and entertain us soo softly..i mean she made us so sensitive...

  • Alabama the best group ever.

  • What a great song

  • I like Alabama

  • alabama is awesum

  • @BBQFanNo1 My dad wrote this song you moron. Bama did it first, then the Carpenters, then Alabama. The "original" IS by Bama.

  • @skinneren Yes 1979. You are correct. I apologize for the stupid ignorant too quick comment i posted. i feel embarrassed like a worst class jerk idiot now.

Even The Nights Are Better which later became a big hit for Air Supply was also written by them. Band composed of Mr Terry Skinner, Mr Ken Bell and Mr J.L. Wallace
