@GunWebsites i love wwii weapons i have a few but my favorite is my k98 i got it for a steal in a gun shop in mississippi i want an older 1911 but they are hard to find.
I only have a cheap ole mosin nagant as far as ww2 guns. Those boys have to be tough to pack them heavy bastards around all day. Nagants mausers garands etc...
@patriotim12 yea i used a garand once on the range, and im sorry but i disliked everything about how it handled, the weight,awkward,etc..i know this is a beloved rifle, but i jes didnt care for it.in a full battle rifle,i liked the fn fal miles better[of course its more modern too].the stg44 started a fabulous trend for rifles, away from the m1 theme.
Its kind of interesting; but late in the war; the M1 Garand was really only used by marines. While the Army used the M1 Carbines. This is because the Marines are part of the Navy; but not the main branch, and they got shoddy equipment all the way up until after Vietnam.
@GunWebsites That carbine is not the proper model for ww2 the ww2 ones had a flip up sights and that one has the adjustable knob sight so that one is korean war or early vietnam
@GunWebsites im 14 and my dad and my uncle to a gun range in the poconos and i shot a remington 870 slug, a ump .45, a pistol-grip shotgun, a garand, an ar .30 bolt action, a scarface version m16 with a prop m203, and i have videos of the shotguns and the ump and my channel. The stupid thing though was that I couldn't shoot handguns, but my dad and my uncle shot a desert eagle .44, and my dad shot a .44 hunting revolver with a scope on it.
Oh man I reallly love M1 garand....I'm trying to find an original one but in Italy is very difficult and expensive...I would do everything to have a beautiful collection like yours...congratulation man that' s simply great!!!!
just putting it out there, but the correct pronuncation of garand is the gar in gary and end, so gar-end, by the way i have a ww2-korea m1 carbine, horrible shape but it fires perfectly, american made guns dont quit. i have yet to get a m1903, garand and a m14
Another difference you didn't mention is on the 1911( not the A1) the grip saftey was a little shorter making hammer bite more likely, on the one in the video it's been changed out to the 1911-A1 grip saftey
@GunWebsites Hey when he watches NCIS the guns are in perfect condition. NCISfan03 means he was born in 03 so that makes him 13. that gun is in great condition.
@NCISfan03 well, the M1 Garand was a weapon issued to U.S. soldiers. Which would lead me to believe it was used in combat, which would explain the quality. Are you calling a U.S. soldier who defended our country an asshole? Shame on you.
@TrueBelieversUnite Can you stop taking what I say out of context! Sorry if I came off like an ass but I am just so passionate about this rifle! @gardencityentertain3 the m16 was very unreliable the m1 garand was very reliable so i would have to say the m1 garand is 1st and the m16 is like the 5
This is one of the best videos I've seen showing vintage ww2 weapons. It's a great posting. However, am I the only one who thinks this guy is handling this stuff too rough?
Yeah, me too. Why is that? I know the ar-15 is a good rifle but I just don't care about it. show me a m-14 or m1 and I get interested. I can't explain why. maybe it's the auora? Mystic?
M1 Garand 850, carbine 850, model 12 same, collectable era 45's over 1500. They used Model 97's in WWII, I even seen them in Nam, hold trigger back and just pump. Interested in collecting? Get a C&R license and they mail them to you at home. Easy to get. You can also get foeign weapons same way if they are on C&R list. Damn you Americans for being allowed to have mag. Caps. over 5 rounds in semi-autos. I saw you had the springfield/garand belt in behind everything, but you didn't mention it. Great vid, what make was the carbine & garand? If you want a pic or vid of an 03, let me know how to do it & I'll do it lol. My 10 yr old loves shooting the 03 & is very accurate with it on the steel ram at 500 meters.
I like your presentation and the camera looks fine! The only recommendation I'd offer is to move slower when you show the different items so your not looking at a blur and the viewer can take a good decent look at what your filming. Its a treat to see actual ammo boxes, ammo and guns from WWII so I want to be able to take a good long look, Ya know what I mean? 5 stars!

really cool video! ok thanks for letting me know lol i would guess that getting to shoot them would be a bit much but still id like to see things like the BAR or thompson lol or maybe some german or japanese weaponry.(or British "could be easier to find") but thanks anyway ill check my subscriptions every once in a while to see if theyre posted thanks.
cool! is all that yours?i'am sure i'd feel diffrent about them if i were holding one out on the battlefield.the m1 garand would be my choice, even today. thanks!
me too M1 garand might be old but it has good accuracy for such an old rifle and its considered quite easy to reload they still make some of them today
Oh, well yea, I consider Car-byne to be the English way and Car-bean to be the American way..
But mostly my dad and grand-dad (for that matter just about every other vet I know) called it a car-bean and what's good enough for them, is good enough for me
Thanks some of my favorites too.. when you hold them it's pretty cool.. you think about what they might have seen, and what all they might have gone through since they were issued..
wow awesome vid you will never get this array of items in one vid because everybody else just focus's on a certain things such as the 1911 or the garand or whatever there interested in. and very cool to see the enbloc clips and holsters and ammo
I dunno where you're buyin your surplus 1911 mags but out here in colorado, they're 12.99 all day long still in the paper!

- VC had Moisin Nagant = South VN had Colt .45 which is shot and u don't know where the bullet go?? kick like shit
- VC got Light machine gun AK-47, We still used M1-Carbine!!!
-1968 VC used 12,7mm = We use AR-15 Semi Auto +3rounds burst!!
- VC used 130mm Canon=we had 105mm , 155mm or even 175mm still UNDER GUN
-VC had 122mm missiles = We got nothing !!!!! Lost VN

me too M1 garand might be old but it has good accuracy for such an old rifle and its considered quite easy to reload they still make some of them today

Nice video, might I request a Browning Automatic Rifle, .30 Cal Water-cooled, Thompson, and (the actual name escapes me) the Grease gun?
Deftones031 2 years ago
LOL, sure request away.. we like a challenge.. We'll see what we can do.. but this request might take a little longer
Thanks for the challenge
GunWebsites 2 years ago
m3 grease gun
iceman103 2 years ago
thank you, that has been bugging me for 2 days... :D
Deftones031 2 years ago
Oh, well yea, I consider Car-byne to be the English way and Car-bean to be the American way..
But mostly my dad and grand-dad (for that matter just about every other vet I know) called it a car-bean and what's good enough for them, is good enough for me

Is Garand and Carbine use the same caliber?
ongdacos 2 years ago
Carbine = .30 carbine
Garand = .30-06
we show both in the video
GunWebsites 2 years ago
The m1 Garand uses the .30-6 and the carbine uses the .30 carbine!!
mrcoolman4321 2 years ago
yup, just like I said it.. car-bine
thanks for agreeing
some people think there is only one way to say it, of course there are two ways of saying it commonly..
but you already know that and we happen to say it the same way car-bine

wow awesome vid you will never get this array of items in one vid because everybody else just focus's on a certain things such as the 1911 or the garand or whatever there interested in. and very cool to see the enbloc clips and holsters and ammo
bierrum105 2 years ago
Nice camera, no artifacts!
duradero9 2 years ago
thanks--you made my day with that one! Love the slam-fire on the shotgun. That would have been really scary in a trench!
Do you know what kind of ammo was typical issue/preferred (buckshot or slug?)
mattswall 2 years ago
I don't but I would assume buckshot
GunWebsites 2 years ago
just so you know, it's en bloc clip.
Just so you know
MrGunsplosion 2 years ago
I did see that I said it wrong as I was looking to make sure I was spelling Garand correctly..
I knew it was 'en bloc', but I flipped up or something during filming I guess
I had already uploaded it when I figured it out, and didn't think it was worth re-doing..
But I'll make a note on the video so it's noted
GunWebsites 2 years ago
That camera is a whole lot better than the last one. You guys should take it to the range some time soon and see how good it is.
cokeman2423 2 years ago
thanks.. and of course we will.. the sound kinda sucks on this camera, but that might be a good thing on the range .. we'll see
