Mystery Science Theater was a great idea. I really enjoyed the first few seasons.

However, the concept only works if you can get into the movie. If you have no interest in the movie you'll find you have no interest in what they're saying.

It's too bad Turner bought up (and refused to share) all the movies that would have been perfect for them.

@MrValiant61 That's what the makers of Space Mutiny said, after the fact. To try and make out that they were deliberatly making a spoof film. I saw another film that tried that, Biohazard, a wannabe alien rip-off that tagged on a gag-reel over the closing credits (Jackie Chan-style). However, the outtakes were just as dull as the rest of the film. ("Oh my! Crap actors fluffing their lines and missing their cues! How hilarious!)
