that bass trombone absolutely kills the whole band. which is too bad cuz you guys have a pretty good sound, but that one guy is blasting and its really really noticeable.

perfect tempo, this is one of my favorite jazz peices...we played it first semester. second semester we lost about 5 band memebers but two are coming back for the graduation performance just because were playing this. Wow, in some parts it almost sounds a bit like Birdland (I think thats what its called)

Actually, it was named for a horse owned by Count Basie himself who hoped it to be a racehorse, but alas, it only ate- thus the name"Hay burner".
