@joesintomusic it isnt impossible to do you know, just max out all the nodes in the grid, remove any +1 +2 +3 nodes and replace with +4 if u do it right then you can get 255 in nearly every stat but takes a long time

Penance better be in FFX HD when its released. North Americans 10 really had no super bosses in it like any other FF games. Sure the things at the monster arena, but those were all boring, nothing stategic like other FF games would include. I'm really hoping to see this in the dark Aeons in the new 10.

Consider that the European version of RPGs used to be released like a year after the American version (basically 2 years after the Japanese release), so I think it's fair that they get more extras, Americans usually get the best stuff (like exclusive editions and such) and take them for granted, but I agree that the HD release should have the International content.

i've got a pretty strange reason for replaying this game. it all started with me watching my little pony: friendship is magic, and then i heard tara strong as twilight sparkle. i then remembered how much of a tara strong nut i am and replayed FFX JUST because of rikku and the fact that she did both characters' voices.

How do you get the auto potion to use relevant potions? Whenever I do it it just uses a regular potion. And why were you casting Dispel on people hit with Immolation? Does it put some status on them? Also, when Penance's lower half split, I thought that was the end. How wrong I was, lol.

@Dracowrath1 Potion priority. Not sure if you have to make X-Potion before any other or you simply only have to have X-Potions in your inventory. Dispel gets rid of the full break that comes along with Immolation. That attack basically gives you 0 defense. He will split when 1/4 of his HP (approx. 3 million) is depleted if I remember correctly.

@mikekrause2000 It's actually 121, if he were doing exactly 100k damage then it'd be 120, but since he's hitting 1HP less per hit, then Penance would have 120HP left after the 120 Quick Hits and obviously need finishing off... which could be done with a normal attack, lol.

I played penance yesterday, beat him on the 2nd attempt, and i gotta say looking at your armour, you obviously already knew what penance was gonna do and had prepared for it and/or read a strategy. So how is that impressive if you've followed what someone else has told you and you know its gonna work, just seems to defeat the point of fighting a superboss to me

@DanielKohbad FF 12 pushed me over the 250 hour mark, and I stil haven't fought the last two super bosses in the game. Yizmat has the highest hp of any monster in the FF series (50 million) and takes over 2 hours to beat. The other one, Omega, takes a redicilous amount of effort to find, and is not easy to beat either. FF games are fun, but it takes many hours to get through them. And i'm impressed at this person's dedication too. 903 hours!? WoW!

OMG this is such a MONSTROUS HARD BOSS & i can tell just from i have seen (lol). I'd rather to have a boss like this in the game as Yu Yevon's final resource in a REAL FINAL BATTLE where you could die but more easy of course, instead of that plain "pathetic" and easy "ball" which you can own even with a phoenix down (lol). @shadow1ization He's playing on the international version where Tidus' limit breaks dont do much damage to "Super Bosses" like Penance and the Dark Aeons, it isnt really worth using the Tidus' OD's because they delay you're next turn

I think the story goes that Penance was Yu Yevons 'Last Resort' against Yuna and her Guardians after the Dark Aeons failed but yeah it doesn't sense that Yu Yevon didn't just use this thing as his 'Armour'

why did they even summon the aeons, why not just have wakka shoot it down?...it only had 99999 hp...hurt itself when attacking, was a giant tick...you had permanent auto life status...and braska's final aeon was (understandably, since yu yevon used it as armor, and it could beat sin (and since yu yevon upgrades it, doesnt that mean that sin would be stronger each time?)) stronger, and had more hp?...by 3 times...
