Hey I saw your video. I created new forums to discuss android powered car systems. Join us and post your worklogs at AndroidCarForums . com (remove the spaces)
I seriously cannot understand why the big names are being so slow in creating something like this. I mean comon, Sony already sells touchscreen head units but they run a horrible UI and feel terrible outdated. Why instead, given that they now have experience with android, can they not create something very similar to this (but obviously better quality and less buggy), something like this made by Sony would sell like crazy for those looking for an awesome aftermarket infotainment system
@couvidan They already do that shit so what is the difference? Atleast on this unit they can control what your doing when moving. Its the phone thats dangerous. It should be a built in featuer to block calls or text when going more then 30mph besides 911 but then passengers couldnt use their phones either so im not sure how that would work. There was a time people survived without them but people are so dumb they cant take the time to acknowledge that!
@KCWhoa when you are driving you need to be DRIVING. nothing else... 30mph? do you know how long it takes to stop at 30mph? if you are driving you shouldn't even be able to change the radio station, let along use facebook/twitter, or read emails/texts. the only time this would be acceptable is if the car was in park. even then its ridiculous. This world disgusts me... everyone needs to get their head outta their asses and learn whats right again... they have all forgotten
Any updates on release dates and pricing since then? Also wonder if you can install your own apps on it? Would mostly want to do that to install a better music player interface.
Finally, this is what Android will rule at. I love my GTab and my GVib, but Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, etc... need to step it up and get Android 3.0 running as the OS for all their In-dash double din Head Units. They are soooo missing out on a Monster market
can this replace my SC430's Navigation?? or is this just made for the DIN area?

"Oh, this doesn't work" "You can't do this" "And this is a little buggy.." Not the best presentation ever.

@Timberwolf1311 because it is stupid, all it is going to do is cause wrecks cause of people trying to tweet or whatever.

@couvidan Most nav systems have a brake wire that prevents you from doing certain tasks while moving.
