I think they are both good. I can answer the question you have. People didn't do their research, and everything went around the internet saying that Griffith was a better Sonic and Drummond was fired because he was giving the crew problems. Obviously false since Drummond wants to return as Sonic.

But like you said, they are both good choices to voice Sega's Masscot.

For one thing, the "suko suko" at the start of E.Gad's lines... It's an audio clip. From the games. And no I'm not saying I like his voice, I think it's crap too, but his voice is real hard to do well and I doubt you could do it.

Also there's nothing wrong with Shadow's voice. I do have to admit that Sonic needs more emotion and tone variation infused into his voice. Like sounding sadder during his monologue in part 1.

If you're talking about the fact that Shadow only ever sounds angry that isn't the voice actor's fault. Shadow doesn't bother to speak unless he's irritated so that's why it seems the voice actor only ever makes him sound angry. Apart from that, he delivers his lines well.

And the "I bet you could do better" wasn't meant to be a good argument, I just don't think he should have said that they weren't putting any effort into it. How would he know how much effort was put into this dub?
