Cool idea. From the sound of it, however, you're using your road tree video as amplitude modulation of a 220hz signal. If you get rid of the 220hz signal, speed up the envelope signal on a loop and shift the signal bias, we could hear what interesting noise results from the tree light and shadow itself. . . .
Ok, so what you need to do now is instead of having a sound from frequency, but instead make it trigger different pre-recorder sounds. You can easily trigger bass beats and what not.
@TerryFallenblood That was my first thought... volume isn't nearly as significant as pitch. Might be smart to limit it to a set major scale, and see what happens.
You know I was listening to the second half of Das Rheingold the first time I watched this. I have to say listening to Wotan and Loge singing while that sound is going on really adds something to both.
@Pehmokettu Niinpä, mutta toisaalta jos asioita ei selitetä yhtään, voi videon pointti jäädä hyvin hämäräksi. Pitäisi varmaan tehdä vähemmän "viihdyttävä" versio. =)
Why are there 14 dislikes exactly? Someone having a case of the mondays?

I wonder how this applies to cognitive dissonance and cognitive load. One would be receiving this input audio-visually..

Use frequency modulation with 44kHz to see happens? :)

Too much fluff in this video. Skip to 3:20 for results.

I'm so glad that I watched 4 minutes of how to make something that I could have spent 4 seconds making on my theremin.
Good write up, but completely uninteresting output.

if you can, see if this produces any form of communication (ex: does it produce any recognizable form of morse code?)
ESurge 6 months ago
@ESurge morse code output would be totally a non-sense

modulating the volume doesn't make much sense. why not quantize to discrete musical notes and modulate the pitch?

@TerryFallenblood yeah that was my thought as well, modulating the volume doesn't come close to what would be possible.

Videosta suurin osa oli kaikkea muuta kuin otsikon väittämää niin että jos joku ei jaksa katsoa videon loppuun asti niin jää lopputulos kuulematta.
